Description
IMPORTANT NOTE: Wait for pellets to burst before shooting your portal. A newly spawned pellet lasts longer than one that's been refreshed by portals.

[Medium] It's late January of 2019, where's Hugo's latest puzzle? Didn't he say something about "at least a map per month"?
Peripheral is a pair of monoportal puzzles involving pellets and Rexaura-related peripherals. It is highly recommended that you play the Portal 1 mod Rexaura before playing this map, since it relies heavily on mechanics from it.

Keep in mind that this map involves tight timing and continuous moves. No ninja skills or fast reflexes are required. Bunny hopping is not a valid way to work the timing out. If you figure out the correct set of moves, executing them should be considerably easy for an acquainted player. If the timing is short, it probably means it is not the intended move. F6 to quicksave and F7 to quickload can help you out.

Radiative Flux Rectangle (a.k.a green field): outputs when a pellet goes through it.
Rexaura Cube Deflector (a.k.a purple floating cube): holds cubes in place to redirect pellets (observe the designated path on the floor).
Positronic Energy Orb (a.k.a purple glowing ball): destroys pellets on contact.
Cubes get dissolved when they contact pellets.

Music: Rexaura - Two, by Mevious (from the Portal 1 mod Rexaura).
Theme: Portal 1.
Estimated completion time: 30 minutes.

Many thanks to Fumbly Bumbly, Demon Arisen and HankyMueller for playtesting!

Update: fixed the cube on the ledge, as well as timing on the final move allowing for an unintended move (thanks, Konclan).
Update 2: fixed missing assets, kindly provided by TeamSpen. Thanks for the heads up, Joric.

I enjoyed finally solving this one! It was fun figuring out ways to minimize the amount of time between actions

Quite a challenge.
"Cubes get dissolved when they contact pellets." Well, tell it to the cubes XD The first one wasn't aware and lived longer than it should for the first couple of tries o.O
"If the timing is short, it probably means it is not the intended move." Me, checking the walkthrough, thinking "well... not slow-paced either" ^^'
Too bad I had error signs though I have both Portal 1 and Bee Mod installed.

Not my type of map, but well-done. Thumbs up.

I'm afraid this is not my favourite map of yours :[ The mechanic of ''refreshing'' a pellet with portals seems quite unintuitive to me and frankly, a bit gimmicky. It took me some time to realise that the first room was supposed to teach this. For the second room, I had to really make quite a run for it during the ending sequence. I never used the button near the exit door, though, and the panel that it flips, so I guess I did it unintended. Anyway, the design was pretty in some places and transparant overall, though still I found the antlines to be a bit all over the place and quite confusing at first. I had to restart the map once because one of the cube holders in the second room stopped working, but that's not really your fault. Considering it's difficult to create good pellet tests, it goes without saying that I am still going to give it a thumbs up. Figuring out the (possibly incorrect) sequences was quite fun each time. Sorry for the essay :]

It's hard to tell that that line raises the stairs through the glass. Great use of the elements!

Ooooh It's been a long time since I've played a Rexaura puzzle. Playing this one was quite refreshing. I haven't had any errors and the style gives it a perfect rexaura atmosphere. I felt that at some places it's too dark but it's okay.
Really well done!

....

As for the mechanics, I think the "portal pallet refresher" really bugs me, it should be at least in some big bold text on the chamber description because I know some people just aren't gonna finish this because they just don't know the mechanic! And it isn't something very obvious either.

The map should have made in a way that the area that you get both cubes should be "locked out", in the sense that the testing elements become unavaible (and new cubes spawn in the center if the player desintegrated one, for example). Because the second part is already huge and it took me a while just to process everything that was going on, and the steps required first to grab the cubes and then solve the chamber.

As for the execution, the only part that bugged me was the last portals. The orange portal room should be where the timing indicator for the companion cube is instead, so while I do my quickshots there would be a view to indicate when I can place my portal. I liked that you also put an extra few seconds on the timer so I can just right miss a portal placement and still get the pellet right.

You might wanna see this: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1UX6EnwIGuglwSf6p-z9nCjjhSlvaGATI/view?usp=sharing

Since you can't really stuck yourself though, I'd say it's not worth a fix. Maybe an interesting additional challenge for the players ;)

Good map! A refreshing take too, since I don't see very often maps that use custom elements like these from the Rexaura mod so well (and a monoportal too while at it!). I remember you saying on another rexaura inspired chamber that "if the timing isn't correct, you're probably doing something wrong", and this is one of the best chambers that illustrate that. I do have a few complaints though:
