Description
Tired of underwhelming infantry and cavalry Lords? Try this mod out!

Main Features
Lords/Heroes have bodyguards
- infantry lords are actually quite useful
- Lords/Heroes will based off other units (Prince -> Phoenix Guard/Dragon Princes), but some maybe unique

DEI-inspired battles, much longer and tactical
(But not too long)
- Deadly and long-range but slow firing artillery
- Melee-Focused combat , missile units have had damage/accuracy reduced in exchange for more ammo and range.
- Powerful missile units = shorter battles
- Faster and deadlier Cavalry, but very vulnerable to anti-large
- Reworked unit stats - easier to understand, standardized between unit types, and organized into tiers
- Toned down campaign stat bonuses (buildings, skills, technologies) and removed AI difficulty battle buffs
- Some units maybe quite different from vanilla
- Units rebalanced to alleviate DLC POWER CREEP and discourage one unit spam, CREATE balanced armies for late game!!!

New Units
- Mercenary Veteran Halberdiers (Special thanks to Bálint for this icon and many others)
- Foot Squires (Polearms) (Special thanks to Darok)
- More coming soon....

Other changes
- Empire Economy and Diplomacy buffs, they now are able to survive and thrive in endgame (in all my tested campaigns)
- Recruitment tweaks to encourage more varied armies and prevent artillery spam, if the AI only have access to artillery, they are only going to recruit artillery
- Inherit growth bonuses for greenskins/skaven/humans since they are the most populus races in Warhammer
- Lords/heroes level 4x faster until level 26, lords receive 2 skill points per level till level 21. Monsterous Mounts are lock at level 31+.
- Plus more that forgot to mention

WILL NOT BE COMPATIBLE WITH OTHER OVERHUAL MODS
Giving Lord/Heroes bodyguards is not a on/off switch, STANDALONE "swiss army knife" version NOT POSSIBLE
Unit stats had to be changed as Lords with 400 weap str and 80 men is ridiculously OP, plus vanilla Lord/hero melee stats are balanced for single models

- Compatible with small/focused campaign mods (eg. Old World Rites, AI army composition mods, abandon regions, chaos towers etc)

This mod is still BETA, I haven't gotten around to implementing everything I wanted. I am waiting for official CA updates before adding anything crazy. This mod can take 8 -16+ hours to update for a lord pack, I have a full-time job, so I want to keep update times as short as possible.
I've played a campaign for all factions between Warhammer 1 and 2.
I haven't gotten around to playing all old world factions in this game (Haven't played Norsca, WEF, and Beastmen)

Known Issues
- Green Text on top of unit info may not be accurate anymore (Won't update this until MUCH later, when CA are done with WH2)
- Autoresolve sometimes wipes out low model count cavalry units Eg: Demigryphs and Cold Ones

- Magic not yet balanced
- Magic missiles had to be turned into bombardments

- You'll notice some things set to zero, its alot easier for me when updating to set things to zero than to delete it
- Wall are too easy to bring down, I haven't updated wall strength, I may increase it, but I'm currently am fine with siege battle length.
- T-posing lord/heroes units belonging to rouge armies
- Melee/missile damage campaign bonuses are not yet balanced
- Ward-save bonuses can be too high
- Quest-battle only units have vanilla stats
- I could not get bodyguards working with monstrous beasts mounts (griffon, eagles, dragons, etc), unlike my warhammer 1 version.
really butthurt about this one, using the same methods as WH1 it causes a crash when the AI uses monstrous beasts mounts w/ bodyguards. It works fine when the player is using them, but then when the AI uses them the game breaks -_-
My other methods, which prevented crashing led to glitches that I could not ignore :(


I got monstrous beasts mounts working with bodyguards but there are two issues: Your character's model variant will change in battle, and if your character's model is killed in battle it will not count. I decided to scrap guards for monstrous mounts for now.

Crashing Battle Issues
- Manfred's Sword of Unholy Power Quest, after the battle choose to dominate captives. The game may crash if you pick other options
- Dark Elf LL quest battles, after the battle choose to execute captives. The game may crash if you pick other options
- I don't know if its my mod, or other mods/vanilla causing these issues.

I can only find individual bodyguard mods for each faction, made by some Korean guy. But they don't balance anything else.

I really hate how small single entities work in the base game and would liek to see bodyguard units back.

I was thinking of creating mod that adds bodyguards in WH3. I just discovered this and wow... I guess this is how it's done. I really like how you added so many custom units just for them being a bodyguard units. I don't think I will take exactly same path, I would prefer all bodyguards to be capable in combat, even for caster hereos and force more infantry lords/heroes.

Looking to make bodyguard units to some mods i added with this one. I have a general idea on how to do it, but still having trouble with the whole pic. Mainly how to turn the lord into said bodyguard unit. If anyone doesn't mind giving me tips and pointers, that would be appreciated. Not looking to make a mod out of this, just for personal use.
