Grunt's Modded Fallen Heroes- Beta

Description
Introduction
Have you ever considered the possibility of the Steam Workshop turning against you? Those lovely class mods ganging up and doing their best to murder you?

Say no more!

Modded Fallen Heroes is either a spiritual successor, blatant copy, or expansion (your choice) of Fallen Heroes, the mod that adds your very own beloved hero classes as enemies to face. This mod adds 30+ class mods from the Steam Workshop into Fallen Heroes, creating unique and extremely difficult encounters. Survival is never guaranteed against these ruthless, skilled, and relentless foes.

Featuring heroes such as The Falconer, The Slayer, and The Exorcist, (among many, many more), the variety of groups you will face are unmatched. (Joking, there's probably a couple mods out there that adds more monsters then this.)

Disclaimers

I own no art or concepts for the heroes used in this mod. Each and every class I've added into this mod are the sole property of their creators. There's a credits list in the description for each class/concept. If you own any art/classes/concepts in this mod, and either are uncredited and/or didn't give permission for the work involved, please contact me ASAP, so we can resolve the issue. (As I've done my best to ensure any and all art/assets are credited) An exception is somewhat made for classes that use assets that are credited in that mod itself.

This mod is not meant to be easy. Or even fair in some cases. It's meant to be challenging, it's meant to HURT, it's meant to kill you, at least the first time around. This means, that when I ask for feedback, please keep this disclaimer in mind. HOWEVER, if there is a single monster/party that you're finding impossible to beat for some reason, please let me know and I'll review it.

DO NOT upload any patches, reworks, etc without contacting me first. Reason is the first Disclaimer. Uploading this mod (or it's contents) without permission is pretty much uploading all these author's works without permission. Don't do that. It's not a difficult thing to contact me. (Refer to FAQs for information on how to contact me.)

This mod is not an official Red Hook Studios product or product modification, and Red Hook Studios Inc. is not responsible in any way for changes or damages that may result from using the mod. Furthermore, “Darkest Dungeon” and the Darkest Dungeon logo are trademarks of Red Hook Studios Inc. All content in the game is Copyright Red Hook Studios Inc. All rights reserved.

You do not need any of the Heroes included inside this mod to use it, all assets for the monsters are included in this mod. (Putting this here instead of FAQ as it's the most common question i get lol.)

Summary

To keep it short, Modded Fallen Heroes adds a lot of the most popular modded classes on the Steam Workshop into the popular Fallen Heroes mod, bringing the total number of heroes to over 45 different Fallen Heroes (Some with their own variants). That's pretty much the extent of what's included in this Beta build, however, I have included a list of things I intend to add to this mod in the "Planned Updates" section.

Technical Stuff

DO NOT RUN BOTH THIS AND FALLEN HEROES ON THE SAME SAVE. This mod contains both modded and vanilla heroes and their respective comps, so loading Fallen Heroes and this mod is unnecessary and can introduce issues.

It is EXTREMELY RECOMMENDED you opt into the beta branch of Darkest Dungeon before playing this mod. Preferably disabling monster preloading as well. IF YOU ARE CRASHING FROM THIS MOD, YOUR FIRST STEP SHOULD BE ENABLING THE BETA BRANCH. (Right Click Game in library->Properties->Betas->Coming_in_hot beta branch).

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Are you going to be adding X hero to Modded Fallen Heroes?
A: Probably not. The most likely case is if I like the hero I'll add it in (eventually). There's also some requests made by mod creators to add in heroes once they're done being made, and I plan to honor those requests at some point. But a lot of the time, my answer's going to be 'nah'. (If i do add heroes it'll be several per update).
1b. How do i contact you for X reason?
A: Moonlit Dungeon Discord is the best way. Second best place to get my attention is the official Darkest Dungeon Discord. Third, DM me on Discord I guess (I'll be slightly annoyed).
2. X hero is unbalanced! They did X thing to me!
A: There's a couple ways I could answer this, but all I'm going to say is if you feel a monster is genuinely undefeatable in this mod, contact me about it. Otherwise, learn and adapt.
3. Why isn't X monster/thing like X hero/thing?
A: Probably because it didn't translate well. A lot of mechanics *cough* stress *cough* just don't exist for monsters, and I had to plan accordingly. There's also the case where some things just aren't really feasible to add to monsters (Position dependent stuff being a lot of it.)
4. When can I expect updates?
A: Content updates? When I feel like it. Bug Fixes? depending on severity, ASAP or whenever i fix a lot of them at once.
5. X AI breaks when i'm down to 2-1 heroes.
A: Can't really fix that without stupid amounts of AI workarounds.
6. My mods in here and I didn't say it could be.
A: Uh. Please contact me via Discord Direct Messaging if possible, Steam messaging if not. I'd hate to use peoples work without permission.
7. X mod breaks this one! Patchplz.
A: Short answer? Don't expect much unless it's something on the scale of MLD. I've made it pretty hard to mess up things. Quick and dirty troubleshooting is don't use this mod with overhauls unless I've patched it.
(More FAQs will be added if I get them enough to warrant them being up here)

Planned Updates

-Veteran Stat Changes: Bringing all Veteran Heroes to be at Level 4 gear (currently at Level 3 gear).
-Lored Typing for all heroes. (Eldritch/Unholy etc.)
-Ambience: I kinda want to add ambient music for some Fallen Heroes.
-Hero Addition Update: Adding: Beastmaster, Machine Herald, Senua, Keeper and others to the mod, with own comps etc. Possibly some other addition updates after that but no promises.
-CC Patch: Adds in several compositions to Crimson Court that are the most evil ones I can come up with. Crimson Court Hard.
-CoM Waves: If possible a Farmstead Wave thats comprised solely of Fallens. Farmstead Hard.
-Hamlet Invasion Missions: pretty much self-explanatory.
Arena Patch?:I might add a patch/addition to the "Arena" mod: (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1662357916). Definitely don't expect this until last.

For those who care:

Future Projects
(In order of possibility):

Kingdom Hearts Trinkets Pack: A Trinket pack that's based on Accessories from Kingdom Hearts 2.
The Infection: A large mod containing it's own dungeon, Crimson Curse-esque disease, and heroes.
The Prison: A tribute mod to Furi containing DD-ified versions of the bosses from Furi.
The Castle That Never Was: A crossover mod that aims to recreate the entirety of TWTNW From KH2 in Darkest Dungeon, including all thirteen organization members as bosses. Last DD Mod I'll make.

Also the Leaper seems to only pass on his turn

enjoyed the idea but too many classes are way too overtuned , having 2 actions per turn hitting like 50 dogde after turn 1 , and perma spamming heals on others.
This would have been awsome if a extra balance would have been involved.

Feedback: I only use class mods that fit the lore of the game. Unfortunately, that means a lot of awesome classes "go to waste". I'd definitely take a mod that adds *only them* as enemies, since that would be a lot more fitting. In case you feel inclined, these classes are:

Veiled, Werewolf (Werewolf mode exclusive), Rudiment, Slayer, Voivode, Duchess, Wretch, Hexer, Blackguard, Herald, Sword Bearer and Vigilante.

Do these drop random trinkets and stuff when fighting them? I remember the original had issues where they were hard and you got barely any reward for beating them.

If they got some nice loots, I'd probably hazard a go at them, and likely get bodied, even with 5 trinkets, but still.

also thats unfortunate that you've r.i.p'd in peace for DD stuff. D:

thekingofmods: Unfortunately I am kill on DD. This mod is in a graveyard from an older time in my life. Maybe I'll eventually turn it into what I wanted. I doubt it.

星熠: That's unfortunate. It's up to artists to fight legal battles for their artwork, I don't own it. As for the work I've done, it's all been plaintext/xml editing. If someone's somehow managed to make a black market and got people paying to use it, they've put in more effort into this then I did.

미느레비: I'm an english-speaker, if you repeat that in english I can help you with whatever it is you need.

Hello, author. I am an ordinary player using the mod you made. I found that someone used the resources you shared for free to sell for a fee. He created a q group in China, the QQ group number is 882395913. This QQ group integrates the resources released by many mod authors for free, and posts on the forum, saying that it is his own work (V integration series), and paying to enjoy these resources, but after joining the Q group, I found that it is all your resources .

I'm getting CTD on the loading screen of the ruins. I tried opting into the beta branch but that didn't do anything.

These ones are the rarest out of those monster mods but they are the most dangerous.
