I don't suppose an FU (Frack'n Universe) version of this mod was ever released? Was it impossible or too difficult to do?

I did find a different mod that did something similar. Sadly, it was also incompatible with FU. :steamsad:

@AnomNom Thank you for letting me know. I will search for there github latter this week. I will try to find an example of the item they use and make a FU version of this mod. I am sure its the same code just a item ID that has been renamed somewhere.

@NorthWestTrees:
Well, the best idea is to make them add on to the fuel bar of FU. Since FU uses fuel instead of power, batteries that are dropped by enemies are purple and will add some fuel to the mech. Because FU is open source on Github, you can check how it does this and try to repurpose it.

I talked to one of the developers of FU and they basically left me with no knowledge on what would need to be done, however they did say that there was already repair gears in the mod so I will be checking in to how the code is set up for that and making some small changes for our new mod to see if I can't get it compatible that way. The mod may be already compatible far as I know at this point in time but I have not tested it yet. I will be doing so with the next project trying to get it to work.

Sweet and good to know, I am gonna test it out so you know if it's at least front-end compatible via mounting both at the same time!

I am not familiar with Fraclans Universe I will need to take some time to figure out what needs to be done to make it compatible before I even consider making a version for that mod.

But I do hear that mod pop up all over the workshop community so it is for sure something to look into.

We have a saying here in Canada proof is on the accuser's end, if you can't prove your claim it won't hold up in court. Even though I can't see something like copyrights over a workshop item going to court it is still a notable say basically meaning that if you're going to claim someone did something make sure you got facts to base it off of as aussmtion wont get you anywhere in life but trouble.

Also thank you for the feedback, I don't want to go completely overboard on developing this mod trying to add new features, I can't rely thing of any other settings that I can do to add on to this mod at this point in time but I will again look into FU and making a sister mod for that mod.

IMO, you gotta ignore such people, they made drama 'cause they can and think they're more intelligent than you because of that.

The part about searching for similar mods is a useful thing to do, even if you find something similar, it's your original work and they can't do jack diddly squat unless they find an actual proof of it. Also, you can find some inspiration, take notes or make your own thing/patch to the already existing mod, which is also a good thing.

Also, good job on the thing! 11/10!

One more thing: ever thought about making sure it's FU compatible?
NorthWestTrees  [author] 13 Apr, 2019 @ 1:15pm
fair enough, I will for sure search before I make a new mod next time, and If I can find a way that makes the mod unique I will follow though with making it.

Same case as with software development imo. Anything you come up with, people had done it 10 years ago.

Things like these are bound to happen, which is why we all have to take precautions.
