Description
Magitek Elite is a class that carries some energy between turns and has to deal with Amnesia (a curse that causes you to discard a card when drawn). Manage numerous buffs and debuffs while building power to cast powerful spells.

76 new cards and 10 new relics.

New Keywords:
Shell - Reduce damage by X.
Latent - Card can be upgraded twice.
Near - Card targets nearest enemy.
Fast - Card discard if not played.
Safe - Decrease damage taken by 1/3.
Determined - Increase damage dealt by 1/3.
Hardy - Increase block generated by 1/3.
Retain - Card not discarded at end of turn.

Someone absolutely needs to nab this mod from the depths - this character was so fun but because of recent updates and mod incompatibilities, this character is unbelievably broken. Anyone salvaging this mod would be a blessing.

I've always kinda liked this character myself, but I have noticed a couple of bugs with it:

1. With more recent updates to the base game, acquiring the "Memories" relic makes it so that you can no longer remove cards from your deck (attempting to do so instead adds a copy of the card you just tried to remove).
2. I had noticed upgraded 'latent' cards not maintaining their upgrades myself, but hadn't found the cause. This is mentioned in the "bugs" thread: Cards that upgrade to different names (rather than just card+) don't retain their upgraded status if you save and quit a run then resume it.

While there are balance problem with this character (Amnesia, Bravery/Blizzard) I would absolutely love to see this character updated again, even if it's just to fix the bugs mentioned above.

Great mod, but it's relics are available to any class. Making it annoying when I don't wanna see some of them and just want an egg.

I play a lot of mods and this is probably the one I go back to the most. I love the feel of this character. There are a few bugs though.

I hope you make more Guileless. I've thoroughly enjoyed your Tifa mod too.

I actually hit the same quirk as the last poster: I had "Reflect" active and used the "Dark" card, so the self-imposed damage reflected against me infinitely as the Slime boss just watched. Was very confused, then very amused.
I do like the mod, though. Nice work.

Great mod!
Not sure if it's exclusive to this mod, but if I use the card "Reflect" and end my turn with at least 1 "Constrict" debuff; it gets stuck into an endless loop of hitting myself for 1 and blocking that damage - without block ever actually getting reduced or otherwise. Had to restart the combat, which is fine. :shrug:

Off course, right after posting that I read the actual description of the character, duh. However, I still think it should be mentioned within the game. All information should always be available on the screen.
Bug: the card "Astra" only let's me keep 1 card of the 5 instead of 2. The upgraded version doesn't change anything.

When playing this character, before each combat a curse called "amnesia" enters my deck. This curse is not in my deck to start with so I can't remove it at the shop. There is no explanation anywhere though that this curse is something this character gets. The starter relic also doesn't say this. If this is intentional and it is in fact a part of this character itself and not of a relic or anything it should be mentioned somewhere. Also, I think it's too powerful and random. When you draw this curse, it immediately discards another card in your hand, effectively leaving you with 2 less cards then normal (one unusable curse and one discarded). This is too unpredictable and too much of a drawback when you get it at the wrong time.

Hey, quick glitch I noticed

If you use JAX while under the effect of Reflect, you softlock

if that changed anything, I also had tungsten

This change is really just on the technical side. I didn't add anything that would make such combinations common or likely but if you did want to do some sort of custom run that combined them then the retains would work off each other.
