Better Vanilla item stacking

Description
I like to play with mods that don't take away too much from the vanilla game. I like the harshness, the struggle and everything that comes with it. But there are a few thing's I'd like to change and that's where this mod come in.

A lot of mods that stack items either make it an overly dumb amount, or they come with other changes that I don't really want in my gameplay.

So for that reason, I give you my first mod! All it does is make every trade good item, every book, letter, animal part, human body part, bolts, food, medic items, ect stack to 5. It does not limit item stacking to 5, it's only in your base inventory. A trader backpack would stack to 15. Storage even more.

Side note: Stolen items have their own tag in the game that I can't figure out how to change at the moment, thus making this mod not affect stolen items stacking behavior. The best way to get around this is by putting any stolen items into storage unit, crossbow lockers being the best since you can put anything into them. But weapon, armor, medical, or bolts storage will all remove the stolen tag allowing them to once again stack to 5.

If it's a vanilla item it will stack. If you have a mod that stacks items higher than 5, like bolts stacking to 10 or whatever. Then load my mod above that one and it will overwrite it.

Just wanted to thank everyone for their feedback, and support on my first mod.
I honestly made it for myself at first to use personally.
Saw the upload button in the editor.
Thought maybe others might like to enjoy less time managing inventory too.
I didn't think it would have thousands of Kenshi players using it.

So thank you all for the love.

The AI gets confused when doing tasks and only picks up unstacked materials, is there a patch to fix the AI so that it picks up as many as possible? It is to streamline the automation tasks at the end I'm putting the materials to your inventory manually.

Would you be able to make a version of this mod that stacks 3 instead of 5? Mod is great.

Can you update the mod so that the bounty posters also stack while in inventory? Looks like other books do stack, I'm wondering if its a mod conflict on my end, but I have item stacking loaded near the bottom of the load order.

I like this a lot, too many mods that should change something simple are super prone to weird scope creep. btw to justify the stolen item quirkiness you also have to carry the guilt of your thieving ways, so

As others have stated the best way to deal with stolen items is to put them in either a weapon, armor, crossbow, medical, or even bolts storage to remove the stolen tag.

I was hoping with the updates to FCS I would be able to edit the stolen tags but it seems not.

Each item has its own stolen tag depending on who you stole from, and I can't find a way around this.

for stolen items, get tech level 3 or something I can't remember, anyway, get weapon smelter and place all your stolen items in there and it'll become yours when you take it back out

With the recent update to FCS I should be able to edit the stolen tags on items now, I'll update when I can for everyone

@December A neat little trick that I learned from a Kenshi twitch streamer by the name of FrankieWuzHere, credit where credit is due, is that any item that is stolen can have the stolen tag removed if placed into a crossbow locker. For some reason, anything in the game can go inside one, and again for some reason, a crossbow locker removes stolen tags; at least in vanilla Kenshi. Perhaps add that to your mod description so long as you are unable to fix the bug that prevents stolen items from stacking with this mod?

This is one of my favorite mods. Makes life easier.
