BR Standard 'Large Lad' 4-8-8-4

Description
I'm not sorry.

I wanted a Big Boy in the save game I am playing, since 4014 is alive again.
But I am playing a UK map.
But I also wanted the Big Boy.

So I took the Big Boy and changed the loading gauge to match that of the UK and also applied a BR Green livery.
And then I added a BR Black livery.
And then I added a BR Blue livery with double arrow.
And then I designed a custom soundset for it.

I call it the 'Large Lad', the UK's imported Big Boy fleet so Flagstaff's steel mill can stop bloody complaining.

And I am not. Even. Sorry.

Stats:
Its a Big Boy, but the BR Black one does 62mph
The Green does 84mph
The Blue one does 90mph.

Still not sorry.

Also the biggest reason for UP/SP investing in these monster steam engines to begin with was to cut down on crews for the mountain trains. Adding more then one steamer to a consist was incredibly taxing on the crews because they had to work flawlessly in tandem. We don't have that concern in TpF, we just lash engines together and click "go".

Well Blasthardcheese last i checked this was more practical than two steam engines put together (the actual locomotive) and the actual locomotive was a slow accelerator last I checked but it could go at like 80 MPH safely but the tractive effort maximum was at 40 or so (I believe that this would be more useful on a Long distance heavy freight line that Climbs a few hills (also the actual 9Fs could go over 100 from what I have heard and run smoothly so of course its not going to keep up because as I said the Big boys max speed was 80 MPH) the actual big boy class was competitive in that it could haul so much with only one engine basically also how long (rough estimates) is that freight line you were using to test with the 9Fs against this? because the way i see it you have to have the line Long enough to make it economic to have one engine or more

I love having this big bugger in my European games, however it's so heavy that it doubles the weight of any train it pulls. I'm well aware that this is the way it's supposed to be, but for practicality's sake it means that the big beast has worse acceleration than two smaller freight engines that have similar horsepower put together. I tested it against a pair of Class 9F's from killakanz and it can't keep up with them, so it tends to get beaten to the main load from the station and hauls away the leftovers every time as a result. I wouldn't suggest changing it to be competitive and unrealistic - that would be stupid. It just feels like a lame duck, unfortunately.

That's all well and good, but also you need to remember that there are also 1400+ subscribers who *have-not* complained about steam being white. I have never had my 'screen dim' because of anything, and I am assuming its something to do with auto-white balance on the monitor.

Here is a reminder that in the UK, most of the time you see a steam engine with white exhaust:

IF I ever need to update the Large Lads, the steam will get toned down a bit. Other than that, it's a joke locomotive that a lot of people are taking far to seriously.

but steve out of respect, it isnt just me who has had this problem, i have scrolled around the comments and it is a reaccuring problem, i think the easy and suitable solution is having the deault smoke for the train
sorry for my badd english its not my first language
respect, Leon
