Double Jump - Remake

Description
Remake of my chamber Double Jump in Hammer. The original was created for TS_Mind_Swept's RemakeMe contest back in December 2016.

The original map and concept were created by myself, (Edgy) Asriel Dreemurr, and the Hammer work was done almost exclusively by my friend TS_Mind_Swept.

This map can range from medium to hard difficulty depending on skill level. It contains repulsion gel, a lightbridge, and a faith plate. For the RemakeMe contest, per my choice, the map has been remade in a style based on the Art Therapy co-op DLC.

Feel free to post any playthroughs or exploits, I enjoy watching them. Hope you enjoy, and happy testing!

BONUS CHALLENGE:
As an extra bit of fun, it is also possible to complete this test without using the lightbridge.

Great map, really enjoyed it!

Indeed, it is the panel Asriel referred to. I probably should have spotted it, but it is easily overlooked. Also, I had previously dropped gel out of the angled panel near the light bridge and found that it did not hit the pit in which the weighted button is located, which is why I disregarded doing this as an option to coat the cube with gel. The panel moving after pressing the pedestal button changed the angle, so that the gel does in fact hit the cube. Hope that makes sense. It confused me during my playing

I assume they mean the panel high on the scaffolding between the faith plate island and the exit island. It’s important for the puzzle’s normal solution.

What tiny portal surface? o.0
Also, the panel that moves doesn't have to move for the puzzle, it just does that to make things easier, that's why there's no indication of it

Good hammer work, but I did not enjoy it very much. I had to look at the walkthrough to become aware of the existence of the tiny portal surface, and again to see that the angled panels change their positions when interecting with the objects in the exit area - connections that are completely invisible. It would have been better if these things had been more clearly indicated, for now it kinda messed with the experience for me :/ Anyway, the map looked good and the puzzle itself wasn't bad, so a definite thumbs up regardless

Neaaaat puzzle, I mostly enjoyed where it was going but I agree with | \_/ () in some regards, especially with the fact that you cannot bounce off the floor next to the bridge and it is simply not presented that way. The hammer work did do the puzzle justice in terms of layout but overall I thought it was quite bland, especially the lighting. A lot of the spotlights just did not quite sit right with me. There are also a few other small bits that just seem very odd, like the cube droppers. I see what you were going for but I'd up the tanktrain speed tbh, and it is also odd to just see a cube appear out of blackness so blatantly.

Overall I enjoyed though, despite my qualms. Good work.

That's understandable, we'll try to look it over and see if we can improve things in any way

At first it seemd this level would be great, with its style and good-looking layout. Well, the atmosphere certainly kept me going but the map isn't as good as I thought it would be. 3 out of 4 double flings I tried ended with me bumping on the edge of the portal and staying on the entrance side. Also the fact that you can't bounce off the floor next to the bridge and into the exit area isn't clear at all. This and several other things in the map gave me the illusion of free manouverabilitty that lead to me eather dying, quick-loading, or just plainly making me feel frustrated many times. At the end I somehow forgot that I was gonna try switching the cubes and thought it's impossible before trying it so I watched 可砸's video and I kinda felt cheated.

I don't think this level is that bad, the puzzle is rather good actually. It's just that I spent too much time on it and it somehow put me in a bad mood.
