It seems as though Reshade has been a neglected part of the workshop since 2016. As good as Insurgency is for a five-year-old Source game, though, I think it's time to brighten it up the graphics.

This mod is the personal Reshade preset I've made over the past month or so. While definitely more bright of a style, I aimed to make something with both nice coloration and a realistic look (to some degree).

Subscribing to the mod will do nothing as it's not an Insurgency game file. There are two ways to get this preset working, GCFScape and Google Drive. Both require that you already have Reshade which can be found here: Reshade Download[reshade.me].

Method 1: GCFScape
    • Download GCFScape[nemesis.thewavelength.net]
    • Go to workshop>content>222880>1741509000 or search "hvwkins-reshade-r"
    • Open hvwkins-reshade-r.vpk and extract the ini file
    • Paste the ini into your Insurgency directory
    • Select the preset in-game with the Reshade overlay

Method 2: Google Drive
    • Download the ini file from Google Drive[drive.google.com]
    • Paste the ini into your Insurgency directory
    • Select the preset in-game with the Reshade overlay

im trying to use my own reshade preset but i dont know what file to inject/install reshade into

I tried this today with reshade 5.0.2 and it doesn't load

installed as Dx9 mode too not sure whats up

they block the depth buffer in multiplayer so the only things that work are bloom and stuff

technically reshade doesn't allow multiplayer
it can be abused with certain shaders
like nvg or flashlight
or better, arcane bloom

Doesn't seem to be working. Getting blocked by BattleEye in the first place. I've done the following steps:

1. Get the .ini file from GD,
2. Place it in the INS directory.
3. Get Reshade and launch it. I downloaded all the shaders that were checked by default.
4. Launch game and join a server. Get blocked by BattleEye.

This is when I have the Reshade app open. When I close it I can join any server as usual. Also the existing shader preset sets everything very dark.
