Description
Cube tossing is NOT part of the intended solution. Just don't.

Medium difficulty 5/10 for experienced players. All moves are very easy to execute. No ninja skills, no bunny hopping, no cube tossing, no glitches (NO grating glitch!).

This is one of two tests that share almost the same layout with a few changes that make the solution paths quite different. Click this text to go to the workshop page of the other one - Whole Shebang. When playing each of the maps be sure to pay close attention to the differences, some of which are both subtle and very important. Solving one of the tests may or may not be helpful to solving the other.

Notes:
-All three cubes auto-respawn.
-The orientation of the red cube as it spawns is important.
-Climbing 1 cube allows you to get onto a surface 1/2 high.
-Climbing 2 cubes allows you to get onto a surface 3/4 high.
-Yellow fields block portal shots and fizzle cubes, but do not fizzle your existing portals and allow the player to pass.
-Take a good look around while you are in the entry level as you won't be back there for a while.
-The piston platform under the red cube dropper is set to automatically move. It will sometimes kill you if you try to go through a portal placed on it, including flinging out of one. Even if it doesn't kill you, going onto that platform is not part of the intended solution and will not be helpful to solving the map.
-The two pedestal buttons with life preserver signage (one on the lowest floor under the exit and one by the lower laser in the laser room) are reset buttons solely for anti-trapping. They are not part of the intended solution. If you press either one, it will respawn any cubes that have previously been spawned. That will alleviate the trap situation but is likely to undo some progress.
-If you ride the orange funnel to the area underneath the 3rd cube dropper, there is a trigger that will reverse the funnel in order to prevent you from getting trapped. The reversing funnel will allow you to drop to the floor below. It is solely for anti-trapping and is not helpful for accomplishing the intended solution.
-When the fizzler between rooms is OFF there is a clear shot to the funnel surface in the laser room. Being in the orange funnel at the funnel source (take the cube off the button) makes that shot very easy.
-Due to the funnel/reflective cube glitch, sometimes a reflective cube will lose its collisions. I believe that glitch happens when you toss a cube into a blue funnel. The easy solution is to simply avoid tossing reflective cubes into blue funnels. The solution if a cube loses collisions is to toss the cube back into the funnel and the collisions should return. Respawning also fixes it.
-Occasionally I have seen a glitch where the track platform mysteriously becomes non-portalable. Usually it will be fixed if you activate and deactivate it again.
-F6/F7 are a really good idea. Even making permanent saves could be really helpful. There are some times where making the wrong move could require redoing a lot of steps.

Huge thanks to Nobody No-One, Requiemsoul and Leomievs for playtesting and offering excellent advice. You were all essential to the process of creating these maps.

Enjoy!

Thanks Mattchew!

This is interesting cause I went with the much harder Whole Shebang first. I do prefer that version as that map just has so many great sequences, but this is also really good! The end sequence re-spawn is seriously clever! Very cool deviation from Whole's solution. Very solid map and I am happy to have played both Shebangs :)

back when i first played it, i played it at the same time as first and goal. i found this one much more difficult. i dont think first and goal is a 5/10 though

Oh come on now. It's big and the solution is long, but not all that difficult.

@Libbybapa I plan to play Whole Shebang. After solving it, I was confused because there were two surfaces that were not used, and the description didn't seem to mention this. Since Whole Shebang requires them, I feel reassured. Regarding my solution, someone seemed to say it wasn't intended. I watched 可砸 solution, and the order of the cubes was completely different from mine, but my solution also works. For example, the shot at 9:16 in the video works, although it's a bit tight. I don't know why this happens.

Thanks 乌云彩彩! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Congrats on solving it and your video is great. It's been a long time since I mad this map (more than 5 years) and it is complex enough that I don't remember all of the details. Your solution video appears to be all intended although there is more than one way to do a few of the steps. If memory serves, that particular surface that you asked about is not needed in this map but is necessary in Whole Shebang which shares a very similar layout with a few specific changes in order to force a considerably more complicated solution. Are you planning on playing that one also?

great puzzle!feels like a large precision instrument, with every step having a clear purpose, all for the final output.

What are the surface under the laser and beside the light bridge for? I don't seem to have used them.
