Stronger Templar Parry

Description
Allow templar to not waste the parry on missed shots.

This is totally not balanced for vanilla where parry is strong, this is meant for mod lists that greatly increases enemy numbers so parry seems useless against the amount of gunfire coming through.

You may also enable deflect/reflect even when parry is available through XComGame.ini

Compability:
Overrides X2Effect_Parry and X2Effect_Deflect

Thank you so much! Downloaded the other launcher and it just works, no crashes. I event went back to the basic one to make sure I still get the crashes and yes, I do. Other launcher, 1 mission max till the crash, with the one you gave me, everything is fine.

There are no conflicts in the mods though so actually it should have 0 impact, yet, for some reason, it doesnt work with the other one! So, thank you so much! Able to use your mod now :)

the sudden lag is typically caused by multiple mods overriding the same thing. You should use the alternate mod launcher to see if there's any conflicts.

without the mod, i can tank 8 of them over multiple rounds while blocking all the dmg with just 1 parry, the way it works is that their dmg gets combined into 1 hit which then can be blocked by the parry. it works, I've done a mission just an hour ago.
even with the mod, just not all the time.

the memory leak was the bigger problem, kept crashing my game every hour or so. I've tested it 3 times to be sure it's because of the mod. But as previously mentioned, I'm pretty sure it's the combination of stronger templar parry and Supreme Focus but I've not tested this part, still, almost 99% sure.

losts never actually attack all at once, under the hood they still attacked one at a time, the game only play the animations all at once, what happened is the multiple of them attacking causing at least 2 of them hitting that's why you still take damage.

Just in case someone should stumble upon it and will be investigating some crashes after adding mods. Seems to produce an insane memory leak in combination with 'Supreme Focus'.

In addition, seems to bug out vs Lost. Their attacks are grouped into one big attack, letting the templar tank up to 8 simultaneously, for some reason, with this mod, dmg bleeds through the parry.

it depends on how the AOE is coded, usually an AOE effect still do a "hit roll" which have 100% to success, and templar parry intercepts that, but certain AOE damage such as environmental damage do not have these roll at all so will completely bypass templar parries (and ranger's untouchable)

Pardon me BG, I could be mistaken but didn't Templar's Parry use to protect from AOE attacks as well?

Hi, I love the mod, but I was just wondering if it’s compatible with the Templar overhaul mod ‘Proficiency Class Plugin: Templar’?

So you could ask Deacon Ivory - he tested it, apparently.
