Description
The Salt Lake City temple completed construction in 1893 by the Mormon Church. It took 40 years to construct, and tops out at 223'. It has a floor area of 253,015 square feet, making it the largest LDS temple by area in existence. It is complete with a 14' statue of 'Angel Moroni' as its centerpiece, which sits upon a 2 ton capstone ball mounted over 200 feet above ground. Not only is this building the centerpiece for the Mormon Church, but it is also the centerpiece of the Salt Lake City grid system, with this building marking true "0" and all roads in the Salt Lake Valley originating out from this point. This building is located at Temple Square in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah.

you know theres something as smooth shading right ? it makes the mesh look smooth with no additional triangle cost..

For context; each round sphere has 960 tris, the Ico sphere has 80 tris...

At the cost of thousands of Tris? Spheres are just so costly, was trying to save the count in an area that I viewed as non critical, thoughts?
