[Vanilla|Survival Ready|Subgrids]

A simple placeable turret with 3 gatling-guns.

It is set up to work with all major turret scripts (choose one).

It is not conveyored through the rotor, but has 2 cargo conainers to

Some stats:
-Blocks: 47

-Mass: 4.2 t
-Max-Angle: [-20°] - [90°] Up

Setup:
Choose one of the three turret scripts and follow the instructions:

A: Whip's Turret AI Slaving Script - complicated setup, lots of customization, very reliable
1.-Make a hole for your turret (1x3) (can fill in the sides later)
2.-Place a single turret on your ship
3.-Rename Turret Group X (change the X to a,b,c or something) (delete the old Turret Group X!!)
4.-Place one or more AI turrets close by and include them in the group
5.-Nametag all AI turrets with 'Designator', e.g. "Interior Turret 2 Designator"
6.-Repeat step 2-5 as many times as you want
7.-Delete the group called DDS Turrets
8.-Place a programmable block on your ship and load Whip's script

B: Diamond Dome Defense Script - medium setup, some customization, +tilt-lock reload
1.-Make a hole for your turret (1x3) (can fill in the sides later)
2.-Place turret on your ship (as many as you want)
3.-Place at least one AI turret on your ship
4.-Group all AI turrets as 'DDS Designators'
5.-Delete the group called Turret Group X
6.-Place a programmable block on your ship and load the Diamond Dome script
7.-Recompile script if you add more turrets

C: Rdav's Easy Auto Turret Script - simple setup, limited options
1.-Make a hole for your turret (1x3) (can fill in the sides later)
2.-Place turret on your ship (as many as you want)
3.-Place at least one AI turret on your ship
4.-Delete all groups
5.-Place a programmable block on your ship and load Rdav's script

@Maxxal22 you just need a piston and to use blast door blocks for the walls and corners of the elevator tube. Also I don't recommend leaving the script running if it's tucked away, if it detects anything and tries to attack it, it might just chew your elevator apart before it can rise.

yooo is it possible to retract and extend these (from a 1 block wide hole)

Or, you could ditch the merge blocks on the rotor part and just lock the rotors at the correct angles, leave spaces for merges to be build and let us merge them, I dunno.

you can make survival ready versions of these using merge blocks to lock several grids together. Try using two, one on rotor part, one on turret build, one on turret build, one on turret base or whatever. Lock it down, let people grind them off and replace merge blocks with armor blocks or what have you, but it should work?

Projectors don't project any subgrids, so it's not really possible
