DEPRECATED – functional warehouse version can be found here.


The Paving Depot stores products from the ore industry and dispatches work crews for local construction projects.

Designed for Real Construction mod. Uses zoned industry goods from forestry and ore to generate Construction Resources, which are required by buildings to finish construction. If none are produced locally, it will import from out of town.

(Set to Construction Resources only in Real Construction UI; otherwise it produces both Construction and Operation resources. Unfortunately, there's currently no way to make a Construction Resource building use specifically lumber or ore only, so it uses both. See Lumber Yard for timber themed option.)

Found in Unique Buildings > Warehouses. Building is a MonumentAI so it has workers but no entertainment value or visitors; cost is $2086 to function as a Real Construction resource generator. Use Not So Unique Buildings mod if you want to build more than one.

No electricity, water, sewage or garbage required as this is intended to be constructed before you can zone any residential or build any service buildings, as those now require Construction Resources to build. You will need to enable the built-in "Unlock All" mod if using this for Real Construction, otherwise you cannot build it before zoning residential.

Requires Tiny Segments to place. (The short fence segments I used to create partitions causes a 'distance too short' error without Tiny Segments. Sorry, too much work to go back and fix.)

Sub-buildings used are Inspection Barn and Mobile Office by beardmonkey (converted to Decorative Building AI so they don't require road access or services).

All required props for this and other Real Construction assets are available in my collection linked at the top.

Thanks for your quick answer. I think Tiny Segments mod resolved it, because now I can place all of them.
As for invisible warehouses, I can place under zoned houses or under the powerplant, for example, but not under the lumer yard, cement plant or paving depot. Thats no problem though. Havent tried Move It

Only thing I can think of is the fence segments for paving depot and cement plant causing that error. I just confirmed mine still plop with just anarchy on. But maybe try the Tiny Segments mod to see if that fixes it?

Invisible warehouses can be place with Anarchy on in Fine Road Anarchy 2 or Building Anarchy mod. Or plop elsewhere and move underneath with Move It.

Also, you say you can place warehouses underneath buildings using "anarchy". What mod do I need to be able to do this? When I try to place the invisible warehouse underneath/inside/on the same tiles the lumber yard is on, it appears in red and I cant place it. Thanks!

Hi, congratulations on your job, it is great. I am having trouble placing this and the cement plant, it says "distance too short". I can place the Lumber Yard no problem. I am using the Fine Road Anarchy 2 Mod and the Prop and Tree Anarchy (I have tried this one but I am not sure if it has anything to do with this matter). Any help? Thanks!

I think you can change "Fine Road Anarchy" to "Fine Road Anarchy 2"

Looks great, although a few too many props for me. Just wanted to say how good it looks. :)
