Description
[Barys Racing Maps]

The second installment of my first person racing map series, where you race around an active volcano! This map also has several jumps.

In this map, you can do some first person racing with up to five players! This is a crazy racetrack around and across a volcano. I recommend that you stay on the track, because the dark ash will not let you go very far...

I have included an animated racing style starting lamp (laying next to the track, if you want to use it). You can activate or deactivate it by pressing 1 or 2 when having your mouse over it, it uses the "state" function. If you don't like that for some reason, a more obvious starting clock has been included.
The cars use the RC car script by Markimus, if you need instructions on how to use them see the link below.

Sadly it seems that the cars will be pretty laggy for anyone but the host, unless the host has a really good machine. So if you are planning to set a lap time record, you should be host or play alone.
Speaking of lap time records, I might set up a board showing the best times. If you want your name on it, visible to everyone, send me a video proving your time.

Special thanks to Smile the Exiled and Sly. for testing and providing feedback!

UPDATE 1:
Added a card of instructions to the table and added a showcase video!
UPDATE 1.1:
Fixed model problems.
UPDATE 2:
As it seems GIF and MP4 support will be broken for quite a while longer, I have replaced the lava effects and added a small lava obstacle.

I have screenshots, how can I provide them to you? I don't think steam allows me to link them anywhere

Tmeleh, please tell me which assets are not loading or give some screenshots please, then I can fix the errors. However it may take a while because at the moment I cannot update any of my mods for some reason.

Your first person racing tracks are amazing, however there are assets not loading properly that makes this track impossible. Is there any fix to this? Thanks

Probably, but that would mean I'd have to erect walls to prevent drivers from doing shortcuts. Which would be quite ugly. I originally wanted to do that on the first ledge that goes over the zig zag area, but eventually I decided against it, as cheating there would be too obvious, and it would prevent the feeling of balancing on a narrow ledge.
That being said, I still think that it is not too hard to stay in the center of the track as it is, as is evident in the showcase video.

Would it be possible to make the physical hitbox of the scenery flat for the cars to work better, and then have a more complex model without collision over it?
Baryonyx  [author] 29 Aug, 2020 @ 10:03am
Absolarix, yes, this is because of the game physics. There is not much I can do about it. However, if you save the camera position in front of the first person screen, you can quickly go back to it after resetting, just like I showcased in the video.

Really cool track! However, it's extremely easy to get stuck, and one person must always be game master to save stuck cars, which happens constantly.

well we actually solved the problem for a lot of people saying racing workshops don't work! modders just have to add in the instructions to put "physics" to "full"
Baryonyx  [author] 4 Jul, 2020 @ 12:24pm
It seems that you have to have physics set to "Full". Semi-locked and locked won't work. Interesting.

the keybind is default, i "defaulted" 2 times to be sure. didn't try your other ones but tried other with the same script. i choose the color from the right most options, the ones with the name of the color if you over it (they were the ones suggested in tutorials of other rc cars workshops)

one thing i can tell you is that, i tried copy paste the script in a workshop of mine, and if you flip the cars then they work and everytime you got stuck, if i flip them they work again. maybe it's something in the physics options of the game that's different in mine and yours?
