I've made some good progress on my edit of crossfire, I've fixed and cleaned it up quite a bit but the layout is still the same. would you be okay with your ai nodes be featured in my edited version? you can be set as a contributor, credited in the description and title for your nodes, this version linked, some/all of the above, what sounds good? send me a friend request and we can discuss it further if you'd like :blockhead:

i decompiled the map and started working on fixing it up in hammer++, im doing ok seemingly. i have some decent progress and have the shelldebris decal from the other upload, but since im already in it i started fixing it up a little more with textures and faults i spotted. i found another decal without a texture, mapdecal01, which the other version of this map also lacks.

i do understand partly, and this is already the superior port to me so if it stays this way that fine, i have considered decompiling the map and seeing if i can fix what ive noticed myself despite never doing anything notable in hammer before

@SstarLit56 Thank you for the info, I'll keep this version up then. I don't edit the map files themselves, that would require the .vmf files or decompiling the .bsp files. I only download maps from the provided links and then create nodegraphs (which are separate files) to submit together to the workshop for subscriber convenience.

The reason I list nothing as required for this map is because I originally couldn't find the missing button or shell casings textures to add, and mounting every game doesn't fix them—hence what could I claim is required mounting then, you know? If this other upload you linked adds the button and shell casings textures as described, I could try to repack those textures into this upload.

So I will keep the idea in mind but gmod's workshop publisher program is finicky and trying to update this listing might as soon break it. I'll have to look into it at a later time (if ever) because it's just a lot of tinkering to fix a checkered button. lol

it has many more missing textures despite saying it requires nothing, and still has a notably larger filesize. it does show that the missing decals on this version are meant to be spent casings, and does have the nuke launch button's texture. both still have the broken displacement i mentioned which a barrel and pallete are on, which both fall through it. this version is superior to me, so id prefer this stay even if you do not fix the two missing textures and displacement.

@SstarLit56 Does the newer version include an ain nodegraph? I can take this version down if so because that's the only reason I have these uploads is to provide NPC support.

The other upload of this map fixed some texture stuff and this version seems to also have a missing texture nuke button and i think i recall seeing tiny missing texture decals in the bunker floor but may be wrong. I also found an out of bounds on the inner sides of the bunker towers accesible by an explosive jump, and the low cetral area of the map seen in the first screenshot has a terrain displacement along a wall with pipes which props and players clip through if i recall.

@Larry the gas mask man I am a nodegraph creator, I cannot help with any map-related issues that don't involve NPC navigation.
