Masters of the WARP

Description
What is this mod? A new map to play on, new story content and an attempt to create a narrative experience for the player by creating a sense of history within the game world.

This is a scenario story driven map where the player assumes the role as Tragrion of the masters of the WARP, a faction that uses controlled singularities to traverse the galaxy. You start after your ORB world has arrived into cluster X2X, an 800 star system cluster where you must uncover the secret of the Trelgan shards.

This mod is a WIP and will be updated with content as I create it.

<<< Important fix notice for anyone having loaded this mod and are unable to get the new map to load. >>>

Go into my /documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris folder and ONLY DELETE the SETTINGS TEXT DOCUMENT down near the bottom. This seemed to reset the mods, and in-game map settings which corrected the issue perfectly!

This fix was supplied by Mabus (The Omen) and is very much appreciated.

Dev Diary 6 --- 21/08/2019

Added Clan Terrator faction encounter and star systems.

Tweaked some items, Cybernetica Sphere world now moved further out to the cluster rim and slime hand cost for accord reduced so it is affordable when player is presented with diplomatic option.

Going to take a rest from this mod for a while to recharge creative thoughts. Also playing Planetfall which is a very good game when you get into it.

Dev Diary 5 --- 9/08/2019

Productive time developing ideas and factions. Very pleased with the way it is developing. I thought that I might not be able to sustain project yet the ideas keep pouring in. Perseverance and just keep plugging away at the scripting, it’s difficult but quite interesting.

Added:
Faction the Varg confederacy
Added the Numion faction as a close neighbour.
Added Sentinel shipyards, one titan and one minor shipyard in the neutral zones.
Added Talkor station event chain, meet the virus Viktor.
There are also the start of diplomatic events that revolve around major factions. Such as the SlimeHand accord for the Numions.

Dev Diary 4 --- 30/7/2019

Been working on the story and some new systems. Some story arcs have been started which I hope to flesh out later. Working on scripting is still frustrating and limits the capacity for creative content. Slow process of learning, adapting and implementing.

Added story chapter 3. The story mode is started after you discover Zaron system and I have decided to pace the story at time intervals so they will unlock as the player progresses through the game.

Added neutral zones, these are star base controlled systems that provide a defence screen against Cybrex awakening.

Added new star systems with story arc starts, want to flesh these out later.

Dev diaries and uploads will be more intermittent as I try out new content and write more of the story.

Dev Diary 3 --- 21/7/2019

Quite a good week, working on events that introduce sentinel fleet command, science platforms and new neighbour star systems, added nebula systems and three sentinel systems.

Also been working on some system designs for use later on, time consuming process of test and re test in the game.
Also added new art for intro to specific star systems or planets. Tallion system screenshot supplied, very pleased with the result of in game image.

Dev dairy 2 ---- 14/7/2019

Thud, thud, thud, that was the sound of my head hitting the desk on Monday when trying to figure out script to create spawn an empire. The day was wasted yet I did learn something, do not try and write your own script, modify existing scripts found in game files.

Rest of the week went very well, modified machine crisis to appear 50 years into game and be more of a slow burner. Cybrex threat lasts longer and fits in really well with my mod vision.

Added introduction to the observatory.

Added archaeological expedition into the core of Raknor.

Tweaked starting year events

Re did intro to mod art work.

Hello I have just uploaded latest content.

This includes story chapter 2 ( up to 3000 words of story total)
Promethean star scrolls, to be investigated as a special project.
Titan now has a special project to initiate a jump to the ORB’s orbit.

Added the planet Raknor minor located in the Raknor system.

I would like to thank all subscribers for your support and valued comments. I have been surprised by the level of interest shown in this mod attempt.

I would like to share my vision of this mod. I really wanted to create a new map downscale the concept of galaxy to cluster map. The ultimate idea was to have a series of maps that have different victory conditions so I created a faction that could in theory do this.

The other consideration was that I wanted the player to play their own game yet be connected to the map environment by a running narrative of history and story content. To this end this mod is by definition a standalone mod and played as a single player experience.

I want to be able to add stories that revolve around environment and preservation as this is an area totally neglected in modern gaming. Impact upon pops and culture through conflict and damage to sub space with doomsday weapons are concepts that could be explored, moving away from the commercial to environmental.


So that is my vision and thinking with this mod, like to take it as far as I can go with it, until next upload. Relay 257.1 signing off.

Stellaris updates have made this mod redundant so it will most likely be unworkable. I have left it on the workshop so that other future modders might use any assets, which I give freely. I do not plan to update it as it is simply too demanding to maintain a mod of this complexity whilst the game is constantly evolving.

This mod is not compatible with any other mods. Try to run it without other mods. Also this mod is now out of date and no longer supported. Thanks for all your comments and for playing.

Thanks so much for resolving this issue, I would not have thought about doing anything with the settings text doc.

I will place this fix in the description for everyone to see. Glad you like the mod, so good to get feedback when making new mods.

@colnel @General Skoken I discovered the issue and the fix! :D I recommend including this info for others that use the mod as it seems to be the ONLY way to get static maps to work thus far as I'm seeing. Alright, what I had to do was go into my /documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris folder and ONLY DELETE the SETTINGS TEXT DOCUMENT down near the bottom. This seemed to reset the mods, and in-game map settings which corrected the issue perfectly! No more problems, bugs, or anything! AND it works with quite a few other mods too I have discovered! The static 800 system map is there, all is well, this is an epic and awesome mod! Thank you for the update and new content, spread the word on the map fix! Ya wont be disappointed! ^_^

Mabus, I have just uploaded latest version. I have tested it out as best I can and I have not had any issue loading the gateworld map 800 stars, in the galaxy size, game details screen. Hope you can get it to run ok. don't forget to remove all other mods.
