Stellaris updates have made this mod redundant so it will most likely be unworkable. I have left it on the workshop so that other future modders might use any assets, which I give freely. I do not plan to update it as it is simply too demanding to maintain a mod of this complexity whilst the game is constantly evolving.

This mod is not compatible with any other mods. Try to run it without other mods. Also this mod is now out of date and no longer supported. Thanks for all your comments and for playing.

this mod broke all my other mods.
Skogen 14 Jul, 2019 @ 7:09am
@Mabus (The Omen) Thanks for that, it works now! :D
colnel  [author] 7 Jul, 2019 @ 7:31pm
Thanks so much for resolving this issue, I would not have thought about doing anything with the settings text doc.

I will place this fix in the description for everyone to see. Glad you like the mod, so good to get feedback when making new mods.
Mabus (the Werewolf) 7 Jul, 2019 @ 6:52pm
@colnel @General Skoken I discovered the issue and the fix! :D I recommend including this info for others that use the mod as it seems to be the ONLY way to get static maps to work thus far as I'm seeing. Alright, what I had to do was go into my /documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris folder and ONLY DELETE the SETTINGS TEXT DOCUMENT down near the bottom. This seemed to reset the mods, and in-game map settings which corrected the issue perfectly! No more problems, bugs, or anything! AND it works with quite a few other mods too I have discovered! The static 800 system map is there, all is well, this is an epic and awesome mod! Thank you for the update and new content, spread the word on the map fix! Ya wont be disappointed! ^_^

Hello I have just uploaded latest content.

This includes story chapter 2 ( up to 3000 words of story total)
Promethean star scrolls, to be investigated as a special project.
Titan now has a special project to initiate a jump to the ORB’s orbit.

colnel  [author] 7 Jul, 2019 @ 5:46am
Mabus, I have just uploaded latest version. I have tested it out as best I can and I have not had any issue loading the gateworld map 800 stars, in the galaxy size, game details screen. Hope you can get it to run ok. don't forget to remove all other mods.
Mabus (the Werewolf) 6 Jul, 2019 @ 12:26am
@colnel it seems that I too am experiencing the same issue that @General Skogen is dealing with. All I get when entering in information to start the game is a "default" galaxy of 1000 stars and when loading in, granted that the mod events seem to be working thus far... there is no custom static map like that displayed in your mod above once in-game. Going to attempt to play around with this to see if maybe there is a trick to it, but I figured it best to bring this to your attention first. Frustrating :(
colnel  [author] 30 Jun, 2019 @ 3:52am
I have just created a custom faction and yes the mod works, however you will not get the starting system that I have created for the mod. The map and events seem to be unaffected.
bcbc2425 30 Jun, 2019 @ 12:53am
so. is it compatable with custom factions?
colnel  [author] 29 Jun, 2019 @ 9:17pm
Genaral Skogen, like the name.

Unusual anomaly, I have tested it my end and it is OK. The only thing I can think of is for you to remove any other mods and re verify game files. Stellaris-right mouse click-properties-local files-verify integrity of game files.

If anyone else is having this issue let me know, as the map is an integral component of the mod.
Skogen 29 Jun, 2019 @ 9:45am
I mean it doesnt actually appear, i seem to only be able to use the normal types of galaxies
colnel  [author] 29 Jun, 2019 @ 8:00am
Not sure what you mean, the map is loaded with the mod. It is a static map so you can not play anything other than the map called gate way worlds, in the galaxy map window when starting a new game. Thanks for comment.
Skogen 29 Jun, 2019 @ 7:34am
How do you play on that new map? I cant find out myself... :| (still, great mod)
loyalgaurd 28 Jun, 2019 @ 9:45pm
I love mass effect but I prefer default pictures.
TheGaminODST 28 Jun, 2019 @ 10:22am
YAY! Another Mass Effect Fan!!!!
colnel  [author] 28 Jun, 2019 @ 5:40am
Asari and Geth, yeah Mass Effect is just so cool.

I have loved these games even the hated Andromeda, which did not deserve such critic.

Anyway I wanted to model the Cybex Core on the Geth as a protagonist and as for the Asari, who would not want her on your team?
1130 28 Jun, 2019 @ 3:45am
great mod, keep up the good work, i love it!
catwhowalksbyhimself 28 Jun, 2019 @ 3:01am
There are hundreds of thousands of mods here. I'm not going to try all of them to see if they interest me. A mod maker has to catch my interest. Your short description helps, but compared to just about every other mod that makes it to the top of the main page, it still doesn't explain very much. You seem like you are putting a lot of work into this, which is good, but you still need to sell people on your mod. Or not. I no longer care.
TheGaminODST 28 Jun, 2019 @ 1:57am
Why did i see an Asari and a Geth???

Should I be Concerned?
colnel  [author] 27 Jun, 2019 @ 9:37pm
A better description

What is this mod? A new map to play on , new story content and an attempt to create a narrative experience for the player.

What does it do? This mod does not try and change the way you play your game, it is designed to connect the player to the environment, create a since of history in the game world.

The only way to see if this mod interests you is to try it and see.
💙Kisyana💙 27 Jun, 2019 @ 8:39pm
Yeah, the description is awful
catwhowalksbyhimself 27 Jun, 2019 @ 7:17pm
So your response to constructive criticism is "go away and don't play my mod"? There were some hints that there might be something interesting here. This mod might be for me, but I can't tell, because I have no idea what the mod is or what it does. You need to better description to help people discover whether they want to play it or not.

I was hoping someone could explain it better as I am always looking for good mods.

But no, you apparently would rather tell me to go away rather than you know, bother to help answer questions. The mod might be for me, but it's creator is a rude snob.
colnel  [author] 27 Jun, 2019 @ 6:57pm
Maybe this mod is not for you.
catwhowalksbyhimself 27 Jun, 2019 @ 1:46pm
Description of mod is terrible. I'm still not entirely sure what it is, what it does and why i would be itnerested in it.
colnel  [author] 27 Jun, 2019 @ 1:22am
I will look at the map gen as a stand alone mod down the track, it will still be a static map but playable with random spawn points. I will need to test this out later.
colnel  [author] 27 Jun, 2019 @ 1:06am
Try removing any mods you have then play, I have just uploaded latest additions so it ought to be OK.
Shapyobi 27 Jun, 2019 @ 12:05am
The game has been crash :( i play run this mod first time ...
123nick 26 Jun, 2019 @ 9:22am
have you thought about making the map generation its own standalone mod? the map gen looks awesome, and so does the rest of the mod, but for compatability with other mods i think that alone would be awesome.
KETTLEPHONE 26 Jun, 2019 @ 5:30am
:)
Can't wait to install
colnel  [author] 26 Jun, 2019 @ 4:52am
This is a developing story mod, characters, story and situations.

I would not use other UI mods as they could conflict; the basic premise is to treat this as a standalone mod to avoid conflicts. I wish to present a narrative experience that runs alongside your game play through. Cluster map history, environment and discovery are the fundamental foundations of this mod.

At this time I do not intend separating the UI from the rest of the mod, as the visual style is also important to me.

Nitrogen Trichloride 26 Jun, 2019 @ 12:22am
Looks really promising and interesting, I'll keep an eye out for your mod.
Insult collector 25 Jun, 2019 @ 8:53pm
very good.
Cynder 25 Jun, 2019 @ 7:08pm
is there a way to get the visual parts without the gameplay changes?
Skill Less 25 Jun, 2019 @ 9:17am
This one looks promising, but I have questions :)

1. According to the pictures you spent much time on lore. Is this a story mod?
2. Is this compatible with any of the bigger UI mods or will they conflict each other?
3. If it is not compatible, do you mind making a version without the UI modifications?

:)
Cephalon Sithalo 25 Jun, 2019 @ 8:04am
Heh, if ur rushing something out them grammatical erros are the least of you worries lol
colnel  [author] 24 Jun, 2019 @ 11:48pm
Thanks for pointing that out, I shall have to keep an eye on the spell checker. Creative people often get carried away with getting things out so please forgive errors both grammatical and spelling.
Cephalon Sithalo 24 Jun, 2019 @ 9:39pm
"not excepting limitations on game design"

This is the best attitude when it comes to making things. Tired of all the limitations that has been put on Stellaris.

Also its accepting not excepting. Just so you know.

But anyway congrats on your project getting off the ground again :LotusFlower:
colnel  [author] 24 Jun, 2019 @ 7:00pm
This is a static map and I have no idea how to make it available alongside the standard vanilla map sizes, it might be possible but I have never seen it done on a static map. I wish to keep this mod as a standalone scenario so that I have no conflicts with other mods and can concentrate on development and adding new content.

If I can figure out how to get the map alongside the vanilla ones then I shall implement this feature.

So amazed and pleased with the response to this mod, thanks to all subscribers.
colnel  [author] 24 Jun, 2019 @ 6:52pm
Teleportation ?

Would like to figure out how a script could teleport within the game map but the original concept is to play the scenario and jump to another map and start a new scenario. Link scenario static maps together with different victory conditions.

This is something that I would like to see dev’s getting into and writing a script to allow this sort of thing.
36star 24 Jun, 2019 @ 2:07pm
how can you use teleportaion?
Archemyre 24 Jun, 2019 @ 12:38pm
Honestly I'd love just a standalone map mod that just implements the clusters and hyperlane gates, it looks really neat.
Aether 24 Jun, 2019 @ 12:01pm
I can't change maps sizes after installing this mod, so if I want to play on the custom map, I have to remove the mod, change the setting from 1000 stars to 800, close the game, add the mod, launch the game, make a new game, start playing.

If you added this as a new map size, instead of locking the map, It would be much easier because at the moment, if you selected a map size, when this mod is active you CAN'T change it, be it 1000, 800, 600, 400 or 200.
Gavril 24 Jun, 2019 @ 10:23am
hmm, that comment was before I looked at the pictures. I don't think what you did would be possible without a static galaxy. Still, looks really cool. I'll have to give it a go on my next play-through.
Gavril 24 Jun, 2019 @ 10:21am
oooh, interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes. Out of curiosity, is this a static galaxy? or did you add a new galaxy generation..... thing, so every play-through has a different galaxy cluster? Either way, keep up the good work!
Ajey 24 Jun, 2019 @ 7:06am
sounds interesting! keep up your good work! :)
colnel  [author] 24 Jun, 2019 @ 6:44am
Thanks for the feed back, I am unable to check the bug out but this is a stand alone mod so try and keep any mods to a min. Try and disable the offending mod. I am working on the next part of the story so stay tuned.
