Description
Mod Information:
I've wanted to make some classes that would go alongside the 4 vanilla ones for while, wanted to make something more in line with them having 2 perk trees and such.

Also wanted to use some of the cool weapons from mods like SMG's and Hunter Rifles but I always found that most of the time an Assault rifle is preferable when given a choice, similar to how Rangers can roll Shotguns or Assault rifles but why would you pick the latter in most situations?

The Classes:

Quick note: The 4 base game classes have by default the LW2 secondaries disabled for them for practical reasons.

The Rook: Rookies who have survived to promotion but prefer to stay with a more simpler approach in loadout, they use Assault Rifle class weapons and the Arcthrower as a throwback to EU, these guys are your sort of infantry type soldiers but instead of the traditional pistol they use their Arcthrowers in a support type role with options to become more offensive.

The Scout: These are your lightly armed forces who are quick on the feet so they can get to and extract objectives faster then many other classes, in return their primary weapon the SMG which is now it's own weapon class instead of an Assault Rifle class weapon is not as strong, however they can make up for that with their sawed off shotguns which can provide good burst damage when needed. They also perform similar stealth roles to a Ranger or Reaper although the latter still exceeds overall.

The Tactician: They are your squad leaders and team support, they can handle themselves but their main objective is to support the rest of the squad by increasing their chances to succeed, equipped with Hunter rifles which are also their own weapon type they can mark and enemy while dealing damage however they can also give better Holotargeting support using their personal Holotargeters.

The Survivalist: Resistance members who prefer a more...old styled and subtle approach to Alien hunting, while their not quite stealth operated, they are there to make sure the enemy bleeds, Hunters of Aliens or those who try to survive, they use their Compound Crossbows and Combat knives to survive however they can.

Bonus perks: In addition to the classes the Xcom tree can now roll an additional 3 perks from the LW2 Perk Pack, Smoker, Flashbanger and Sprinter.

The first two give a free Smoke bomb and Flashbang for the specific soldier while Sprinter boosts a soldier's mobility by one.

The Weapons:
This mod incorporates 3 different mods for the primaries of the Scout, Tactician and Survivalist

The SMG: Only edits made to the mod are price adjustments for legend and outside of it as well as making it a SMG category instead of an assault rifle.

The Hunter Rifle: Edits were made to the damage so there would be less spread thus creating a more consistent weapon, prices were adjusted and the weapon was made into the hunterrifle weapon category.

The Crossbow: They were given their own schematics, they are separated from the Vektor rifles as much as possible for the transition as a standalone weapon category but for the most part they share the same stats such as damage damage, if you know how to edit an SRC file and ini configs then it's adjustable.

The Lw2 secondaries are required for the classes but the mod itself is not included or edited in any way besides disabling their use on the base game classes, the Gauntlet is not used in this mod at all but it is removed from the base game classes so unless you have another class mod that uses it the weapon is just kinda there in your barracks sorry, I might make a separate class as an add on for this one.

Gauss weapons and Plasma Sniper research unlocks tier 2 and 3 Hunter rifles and Crossbows
Magnetized weapons and Plasma Rifle Research unlocks tier 2 and 3 SMG's.


Issues:
None recorded as of now for this mod specific but if any are reported I will add here until they are fixed. (If unable to be fixed it will remain up here)

If anyone runs into anymore issues let me know and I'll try to address them as best as I can, this being my first publicly released class pack after several failed private attempts there could be hiccups, report them if you find any.

Compatibility:
Instead of saying what is compatible let's say what is not

The LW2 Classes mod if your using the perk pack for this, you could run this mod with just that class mod but my class mod doesn't really fit for what that mod is trying to do, so it works but it doesn't really mesh.

LW2 SMG: Since their included no reason to sub to them anyways.

The Hunter Rifle from Pathfinders, both the standalone and the one from the whole Pathfinder package.

Possible Plans:

Besides potential class balancing in the future there are two potential things I can do with this mod for new content.

GTS Purchasable abilities, I didn't want to roll these off the bat because I wanted feedback so I could give these classes abilities that would work well but wouldn't be absolutely required.

Breakthroughs for the SMG, Hunter Rifle and Crossbow, I currently don't know how to add these to the mod plus I would need to make some UI stuff for them...which isn't my strong suit personally.

I decided to try these classes but with replacing some of the perks for those from "Shadow Ops Perk Pack" and faced such a problem - for example extra lines like ExcludedAbilities=ShadowOps_Rocketeer or ExcludedAbilities=ShadowOps_SecondWind have no effect. Survivalist DOES get these perks in AWC panel even though they were restricted from appearing there:(.

No idea sorry, consider this mod a dead project since the classes didn't turn out quite how I wanted them to.

A while ago I disabled all the additional class and weapon categories except for the Hunter Rifle. Than I found it had no ammo for the vanilla classes. Was that disabled for them or did I skip something in the .ini files?

Thanks, their not as polished/balanced as what was intended since this was my first go through with making class mods, hopefully I can find the time to balance them out at a later date.

Almost yeah, I think I changed some damage stuff so it's damage was more consistent but otherwise yeah.

Is it safe to assume that the Hunter Rifles are more or less the same as those made by Claus? Because I altered some ini. files to make Specialists and a few custom classes start off with them.

Just a note I've stopped working on the classes in favor of other things, I might get back onto working on this in a small while but overall this mod has a chance of being abandoned.

There are other classes which are better, the health thing might be because I borrowed some stuff from the code of the LW2 classes mod when making this one.
