Description
The Ayyubid dynasty was a sultanate centred in Cairo between the 12th and 14th centuries. At its peak, it rules swathes of North Africa and the Middle East, from Sana'a to Tunis to Damascus. The dynasty was founded by Saladin, a man known throughout the world at the time for not only his military prowess but also his chivalry and forgiveness. Such behaviour earnt him and the Ayyubids respect throughout Europe, despite being heathens and enemies in their eyes. The Ayyubid army featured a caste of soldiers borne from slaves, known as the Mamluk. These soldiers were feared, and ultimately were the death of the Ayyubid dynasty through revolution.

Contains native support for Yet (not) Another Earth Map Pack
The Ayyubids

Amir al-Mu'minin
Receive free Mounted Units whenever a Great Prophet is born. These units earn Faith from kills, require no Horses and cost no Gold maintenance. Conquered cities immediately convert to your religion on capture.

Mamluk
The Mamluk is an Ayyubid Unique Unit with a strong religious focus. The Mamluk prevents enemy religious agents (Great Prophets and Missionaries) from converting a city whilst it is stationed inside. In addition, it also ignores terrain penalties when moving through desert and does not have a penalty when attacking cities, unlike the Knight which it replaces.

Madrasah
The Madrasah is a Medieval-era building. It increases the science output of the city, and it's even more effective if the city is near to jungle tiles. The city must already have a Library in order to construct a Madrasah. It also provides additional Science equal to 10% of the Faith generated by the city, unlike the University which it replaces.

Requires the Gods & Kings expansion pack (For the icon of the Madrasah), is compatible with Brave New World, and credit to the following people:
Leugi - Leaderhead, Unit flag and Unit Skin
JFD - Updates to V2, UA code, added sounds, Diplo text
Sigithe - Original leaderhead model
Sukritact - Leader and UU icons, Map and DoM
Irkalla - Civ icon
Chris Sifniotis - City list, Leader and Civilization Civilopedias
Pouakai - XML coding and text

Peace Theme - David Christiansen, Magic City
War Theme - Andreas Waldetoft, Saladin Besieges Jerusalem

This mod is great, but disappeared from my list. I tryed to download by myself, but the archive is downloaded as something that is not an steam mod file type, so steam can't read it at all. Somebody has a solution?

@Gummans Gubbe that event is from the Bavaria mod, are you playing with it?

Nice civ. Thanks. I got an event that caused barbarians to capture my cap. I can't seem to find any pointers to this event: "A New World Order". Is this event from this civ?

One of the best modded Civs in Civ5 workshop. I noticed something, you can trigger the UA by capturing a Great Prophet instead of when it is born. This can be abused by capturing an AI prophet, triggering the UA then letting the AI capture it again, then capturing it again and so on.
