KF2 Die Sector

Description
The Patriarch has performed the last test in his testing facility arena.
It didn't quite go to plan and Lt.William Masterson has survived the onslaught of zeds.
You, luckily, don't have to deal with living zeds, you get to clean up the mess Masterson left.

This is a pretty damn close copy of the Killing Floor 2 map, Die Sector.
A bit over scale, and a couple of barely noticeable texture issues (had to scale textures back to keep this map from being near 1gig in size).

No trash in this map, just guns, bullets and zeds.
No incinerator, there are other methods of disposal in this map.
Average time to complete=3>4 hours solo.

FPS!!!!! it may begin low, I've optimised this map as best I could 120fps w/out blood, but the presence of the blood lowers it a bit. If you suffer low fps, mop some up, it'll start to recover the less blood there is.

LOADING!!! If your game freezes or won't load the map, open it up in the editor and quit straight out once it's loaded DON'T SAVE in the editor.

Updated the map to have signs ontop of the consoles to show what they do, sorry I couldn't think of a better way to do it. One console to open the doors around the map for buckets/bin, one for the barriers and one for the disposal method.

Many thanks to Tripwire Interactive for letting me use their assets to make this map possible!

I think there's a couple of consoles around the map, one opens the doors to a couple of "janitor cupboards" with a bunch of stuff in. It's been 4 years my memory is a tad hazy :steamfacepalm:
should be at about 3 of the rooms around.

Where is the water machine? I can't find it anywhere

Yeah the UDK for KF2 is a Frankensteins monster of an engine, lots of other bits stitched on-top the base engine, so it's not really compatible with base udk stuff.
I was planning on doing Lockdown but after this one, I wasn't sure I wanted to go through it all again.
Best of luck to you if you do, look forward to seeing it.

What I had to do was open up the maps in the KF2 editor, manually extract each mesh/texture/skeletal whatever. Then open those up in 3Dsmax, scale them down and strip the 4th uv layer off them. Then convert them back new fxbs or skeletons, and re-import those in VCD. Bit of a chore tbh but was worth it in the end.
At least I think that's it, it's been a couple years since I did this map.

Please make one or more maps from Killing Floor 2. I really liked these ones. True, the minus is that the physics of corpses and the scale of the map turned out badly, but I still like it😁😁

Thanks again Raeven, still have my hang ups on this map, but I'm glad you found it both enjoyable yet challenging. :vcdjanitor:

Another awesome map! This one was quite challenging due to coloring, lighting, etc... and so many bullet holes and casings! Really enjoyed the giant flamethrowers areas as a means of disposal. It was fun to just load those up as I went along and then run around and watch them burn. So nice touch there! The red light made me so nervous every time it activated (I figured it wasn't going to kill me, but still...). Very enjoyable and I loved the way everything looked! Great work! Thank you!
