Range Indicators

Description
This online compatible mod makes various god powers gain obvious range indicators at the expense of existing effects.

This is by necessity rather particle intensive, and may not be wise if you already have FPS issues with the game.

The affected powers are:

Lure (replaces white rings): Any animals attracted within the marked radius do not count against the food cap. The actual area of effect is rather larger than this.
Vision (replaces white burst): The lights are now instead centered around the area of effect for the duration.
Healing spring (replaces mist): The healing radius is shown.
Tornado (replaces dust wisps): The area of effect is shown as smaller tornado dust.
Implode (replaces flashing lightning): The area of effect shown is the explosion range and the distance units must pass to escape the pulling.
Inferno (replaces embers): The area of effect is shown as a ring of fire. Additionally, I turned down the burned unit smoke effect as it became too dense to see through, which is annoying when trying to fight under it.

Notably, locusts are unaffected by this. For those, I made a separate mod that is several years old, which also fixes the bug that causes locusts to stick to the screen making seeing anything impossible.

Additionally, the only free particle system for lightning storm was the clouds. Changing them made it quite a lot harder to tell that a god power was being used!

No. To be online compatible this relies on take particle systems off things and making them produce a range circle, units don't have that. Not only do they not have them, there are a ton of things that affect their range and there's no way to update the radius on the fly.
Also, they'd always be on, this would be really laggy because there are so many units. The game's renderer struggles enough as it is without adding to it.

TCs: can be done, but would be wrong after fortified TCs. Also, it would have side effects of showing a radius around certain other unrelated things. There are two choices: it looks like this would affect:

Lighthouse
Monument to Gods
A bunch of stuff that isn't used in random maps but could be in custom games (torches, mostly)
Qilin

OR

Dock (the attack radius is unfortunately different)
Monument to Gods
Most of the same bunch of non-RM things

Towers: Mirror towers can be done, but normal ones cannot.
