Ozhara's Soundtracks

Description
This mod contains more than two hours of music from all currently available World of Warcraft titles that replaces the AoE soundtrack.
For getting an idea what this sounds like, I attached a link to this collection on youtube.

The collection is arranged by Kaseven.

----------------------------------

If for one reason the soundtrack doesn't work for you, you can download it from here:
Link[sdrv.ms]

Just copy the file to your game\sound\music folder.

These tracks are neither done by me nor do I own any rights on them. No copyright infringement intended.

In case you just want to use/switch them on your own, download my Mod Manager! :)

For now it just uses mod archives and creating your own ones will be enabled in next beta containing expert mode.
But you can do your song list, make a zip archive from it (containing the sound and music folder - for all data are used as if extracted to the game folder, so you need all the folder structures used in your game folder - like the mods created by AoE/Steam) and copy it to your game\mods folder.

That way my Mod Manager will recognize it and you can use it like every subscribed/downloaded one.

Right in case dealing with soudtracks I would definatelly recommend to use my Mod Manager, for it seems soundtrack mods are the ones not working as expected the most of all mod types.

Not sure if you want to publish a soundtrack to steam or just create one for yourself.

In case you want to publish a soundtrack, have a look at my modding guide. It describes how to upload a mod and how to create your own soundtrack.

Here in short:
- Rename all tracks you want to implement to xmusic1.mp3, xmusic2.mp3, ... in the order you want them to be played.
- Then place them in your game\sound\music folder.
- Go to AoEs scenario editor and click the workshop button in the editors menu.
- Click 'Add files' and choose every file you just placed in your game\sound\music folder.

- Together they musn't be larger in size than 100mb! (So if it's larger, split it into several mods or try to reduce the tracks size.)
- Just publish a mod like you did with your other ones
- In steam go to your mod and click the 'links' button in the green rectangle.
- Type down the url of your video you want to link (in my case they already were on youtube, so for your own ones, you will have to upload the video by yourself).

Keep in mind the larger the mod, the more likely you'll get error 16 and have to try publishing it again!

You can, but only by using my mod manager:

Without you have to do the unsubscribe/verify/resubscribe thing every time, hoping that there will be no bug.

Can you turn this mod, on and off?
That is probably a big question for most any mod.

Normally it should download itself as a mod archive to your game\mods directory. You should be able to see an entry named AoE workshop content at your steam download screen.

When that is finished at your next game start while the first inrtros are playing, it should be extracted to that folder. For it's a larger mod, this could need some time, so I would recommend to not cancel the intro before the chess video plays.

If for some reason this is bugged, you can do it manually by going to your game\mods folder and open the mod file with 7zip or any other tool like that, as all mod file are just zip files without an extension. You now can place the soundtrack in your music folder.

I'm having trouble getting the music onto my game.

Hey there, I have subscribed to this soundtrack.
How do I place this file into my game/sound/music folder?
Ozhara  [author] 17 Nov, 2013 @ 2:04am
For FE changed the default soundtrack by splitting the one soundtrack file into 20 seperate tracks using AoK and AoC tracks, it overwrites these ones. As with every file after every Patch.

So to get it back working you have to reactivate the mod.
Try to verify your game cache and delete the mod file from your game\mods folder.
Steam now should redownload the mod file and extract it.

Keep in mind both takes some time due to the mods size.
