Danarius II 'Icarus' Heavy Freighter

The Danarius II, affectionately referred to as the Icarus, was Dex Spaceways' second freighter. After the success of the Danarius, engineers at Dex cut a few corners to get the Danarius II out quickly, but they failed to recognize that though the cargo capacity grew hugely, the defense remained the same. The increased reward associated with the Danarius II made it so it was worth the trouble for raiders to breach the ship's thick defenses for their golden reward.

The Icarus carries almost 4x the cargo of its predecessor, but has the same hull, same shield, and less avalable power due to the removal of its solar panels.
It also retains the defensive capability of its predecessor, and a new design flaw; the weld point between the core module and the outer cargo racks.
Therefore, it is unwise to take the ship anywhere high risk.
