Description
Have you ever wanted to have a set and forget space scanner, that costs a little extra but require less thought/up keep? This mod provides a new bunker style space scanner that automatically protects itself when something approaches.

Specifics
  • Gives a meteor proof (5 high and 6 wide) space scanner with custom anims.
  • Appears next to the space scanner in the building menu.
  • Fully customisable material cost and scanning configuration.

Configuration
Config.json file can be found in:
  • Windows: ~\Documents\Klei\OxygenNotIncluded\mods\Steam\1873884303\
  • Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/unity.Klei.Oxygen Not Included/mods/Steam/1873884303\

A template file Config.json.template is provided, simply copy, remove the .template from the filename and remove the comments (//).


Config has the following variables:
  • RefinedMetalCost - Configurable amount for how much refined metal to use (default: 150)
  • GlassCost - Configurable amount for how much glass to use (default: 25)
  • DoesRegolithSpawn - Option will change if regolith can spawn on the space scanner. (default: false)
  • IsOverheatable - Option will change if the space scanner can be overheated. (default: false)
  • MinimumWarningTime - Minimum warning time in seconds that the scanner can have. (default:40)
  • MaximumWarningTime - Maximum warning time in seconds that the scanner can have. (default:300)
  • InterferenceRadius - Interference radius of the scanner (how far away machines must be). (default:4)

very sorry zonk but i think my ignorant attempt to remove that error on Load during Pause may have caused this unable to place object error.

at the time of update i only tested to see if the crash was gone, but i didn't test building one fresh in a game that hadn't previously had one built..

i imagine if we revert that fix, the scanner will be place-able again. i didn't know if the existing item had to be removed so it can successfully add what it wants, or if we were supposed to check if it already existed and not bother to add a new one if it exists, but i assume we did it the wrong way.

I have the same problem as ZEE below. Cannot place the building at all. The exact error is "Automation ports cannot overlap"

having issues with this one, I try to place it in came and i get the error saying "can not place over automation wire" or something like the ports being overlapped? but nothing is there, I cant place it period, could you see whats going on with it and please fix it
