Description
Compatible with Stellaris V4 and V3.14





This is the Ironman version of ASB (Amazing Space Battles) meaning it is fully achievement compatible.

THIS DOES MEAN THAT YOU WILL LOSE A LOT OF THE FEATURES AND GFX THAT ARE PRESENT IN THE ORIGINAL VERSION.

Of course I still recommend the original version but this is for the people who want to spice up their Ironman game.

Differences:
  • With this version you can get achievements (obviously).
  • This version only contains graphical effects.
  • This version does not contain every Asb graphical effects.
  • This version does not contain any ship behavior changes for battles.
  • This version does not contain any fighter behavior changes for battles.
  • This version does not contain any slower ship battles.


Ps: Still savegame compatible.

NOTICE: All addon mods from the collection are NOT Ironman compatible

What I've discovered with mods in PDX games, is the mod if it was originally made for an earlier game version will still work with older game versions, even if it's updated to newer ones.

Please upload the 3.14 version too. Stellaris 4.x is still a mess.
Do you still have the 3.14.15 version of this? Steam unfortunately automatically updates all mods and I forgot to make a backup. And after only seeing these graphics for a while, Vanilla now looks bad.

@kreon - Looking at the actual ap_ballistics file in the mod folder, whatever Irony is saying, neither of those things are true in the actual files. There is a closing brace in both of those entries and if you're getting an error for those lines, based on what follows them in other clauses, you should also be getting errors for the next few too.

@Chickenhunt - what I am getting in the Stellaris error.log is a missing "shield_impact" texture in the same file (ap_ballistics) referenced between lines 528 - 967 (inclusive). And also "Unexpected token max_duration" near line 22 in ap_missiles.txt

Can't say I've noticed any weirdness in game though, so maybe these errors don't matter?

I'm getting this error with irony:

@Lyv Do you have the "more particles" add-on? It could be the game is hiding them.

I guess this might be because the XL slot added in the mod section is a turret rather than a fixed one?

It seems that the Origin version also has the same problem. In the first few test battles, the particle effects of windup and the trace after the main gun was fired could be seen, but for some reason, it stopped working after a while. I can see that some of the Ai's ships' kinetic weapons fire projectiles with trails, but my Titans can't, the Mega Cannon is using the projectile of L artillery.
