Introducing the Aperture Science Portable Portalable Protruding Panel! This new product aims to increase efficiency of object transportation through portals, essentially by making portal technology transportable itself. With the Portable Portalable Protruding Panel, factory productivity can be improved exponentially! No more need for rigorous manual labour; now a wall can do your job for you!

You have been selected to participate in product testing for the Aperture Science Portable Portalable Protruding Panel. Congratulations! Before you begin testing, please consult the agreement below and submit a written signature confirming that you have acknowledged the information provided.

By reading this, you agree that Aperture is not responsible for any injuries induced related to interaction with the Portable Portalable Protruding Panel. You agree that all injuries sustained related to interaction with the Portable Portalable Protruding Panel are the result of the subject's own cognitive impotence. Accidents include, but are not limited to:
-Dismemberment to limbs inserted within the track socket mechanism
-Head traumas induced by the vertical panel dislodging itself from the track socket, and subsequently toppling unto unprotected skulls
-Electrical burns caused by contact with exposed areas of the device during its startup phase

Furthermore, by reading this you also agree that you will be held entirely liable for financial consequences in the event that equipment such as the Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device or Aperture Science Long Fall Boots are damaged by any of the above incidents.

Upon completion of the exercise, please be sure to fill out the post-experiment results form. Please rate your level of testing incompetence on a scale from 1 to 5 (5 being the least competent), and submit the form to a testing associate. We will use the results of your experience to modify the ergonomic design of the product and its environment, so it may be better suited to the aptitude of future participants. Thank you for applying for testing the Aperture Science Portable Portalable Protruding Panel!

Medium Difficulty

A puzzle that explores the applications of a portalable track platform.
Main elements include a light bridge, laser and funnel.
Please note that there is a potential bug with the track platform continuing to move after it has been deactivated. This is beyond my control. Sorry for any inconvenience, and please do not abuse it.

Please report any exploits and such in the comments.
Your feedback is appreciated!

The rescue signage might be confusing (it confused me too) but I respect your decision to create it that way. It's somehow enlightening if afterwards you find out that it was the (only) way to go :-) I understand why you built this part as is.
Unfortunately I thought that a cube couldn't go all the way of the funnel so I was sure I needed to throw the cube into the funnel at the end. It wasn't hard to execute but didn't feel "Fumbly-ish" ;-) Now that I've seen walkthroughs I once more learned that I overcomplicate(d) simple things :-/
Well, apart from that the map kept me busy for quite a while too ;D
Thanks for creating & thumbs up!

I assumed it was to show that the map can be reset, but it's not something you're supposed to do unless it is needed. If there wasn't a reset logo, I would think it was part of the solution.

The only time the reset button is used is at the very beginning. So even though you need it to progress past the first step of the puzzle, it's not inherently part of the solution. I dislike reset buttons in general because they're extraneous elements, so I wanted to at least make this one tutorialise its usage so it's not a completely disparate part of the map.

Yeah, that just seems like an improper use of the rescue signage. IMO, it shouldn't ever be used for puzzle connections that are needed for the intended solution or it defeats the purpose of the signage.

I think it appears elsewhere

I feel confused by the 'reset' button. The map starts with a dropperless cube on the button making the track platform oscillate. Pressing the reset button fizzles that cube permanently? Is that supposed to be part of the puzzle or for anti-trapping?

What a cool puzzle! I loved the way you used the lightbridge in such a clever way and of course the Aperture Science Portable Portalable Protruding Panel. I got stuck after getting the second cube but then I realized I was overthinking it thanks to Narkodes video. Thumbs up and faved!:2019smile:
