The rescue signage might be confusing (it confused me too) but I respect your decision to create it that way. It's somehow enlightening if afterwards you find out that it was the (only) way to go :-) I understand why you built this part as is.
Unfortunately I thought that a cube couldn't go all the way of the funnel so I was sure I needed to throw the cube into the funnel at the end. It wasn't hard to execute but didn't feel "Fumbly-ish" ;-) Now that I've seen walkthroughs I once more learned that I overcomplicate(d) simple things :-/
Well, apart from that the map kept me busy for quite a while too ;D
Thanks for creating & thumbs up!

I assumed it was to show that the map can be reset, but it's not something you're supposed to do unless it is needed. If there wasn't a reset logo, I would think it was part of the solution.
Fumbly Bumbly  [author] 24 Apr, 2020 @ 8:19pm
The only time the reset button is used is at the very beginning. So even though you need it to progress past the first step of the puzzle, it's not inherently part of the solution. I dislike reset buttons in general because they're extraneous elements, so I wanted to at least make this one tutorialise its usage so it's not a completely disparate part of the map.
Libbybapa 24 Apr, 2020 @ 5:07pm
Yeah, that just seems like an improper use of the rescue signage. IMO, it shouldn't ever be used for puzzle connections that are needed for the intended solution or it defeats the purpose of the signage.
zeo1337 24 Apr, 2020 @ 5:01pm
I think it appears elsewhere
Libbybapa 24 Apr, 2020 @ 4:49pm
I feel confused by the 'reset' button. The map starts with a dropperless cube on the button making the track platform oscillate. Pressing the reset button fizzles that cube permanently? Is that supposed to be part of the puzzle or for anti-trapping?

What a cool puzzle! I loved the way you used the lightbridge in such a clever way and of course the Aperture Science Portable Portalable Protruding Panel. I got stuck after getting the second cube but then I realized I was overthinking it thanks to Narkodes video. Thumbs up and faved!:2019smile:

Seemed impossible. But worked!
Spider_Dawg 13 Nov, 2019 @ 11:31am
I'd rate my level of testing incompetence as a 3, whereas I'd rate the creator of the Aperture Science Portable Portalable Protruding Panel's incompetence as a 1 (the least incompetent). I agree with others that not being able to see the cube fizzle when pressing the reset button confused me for a moment, but it didn't take long at all to figure out what happened. Logic flowed smoothly, yet not so obviously as to diminish the challenge too much. Fun to play, thanks for your contributions!

I've come back to this puzzle several times. Finally got it.

Nice work Fumbly. moving the portal surface is an interesting idea and leads to a number of possibilities :)

Cool Puzzle! Nice use of the moving panel.
Nobody No-One 19 Oct, 2019 @ 4:26pm
Ah, I see Teo struggled with the exact same step.
Nobody No-One 19 Oct, 2019 @ 4:26pm
Very cool! The very last step took me far too long to see. Thumbs up.

This was amazing.

Very nice use of the second cube dropper, My Playthrough
Teo 9 Oct, 2019 @ 8:56am
Wonderful puzzle with a super cool track platform setup! Figuring out that you have to go up to the exit twice at the end was by far the hardest to see for me. Loved it :D
quatrus 9 Oct, 2019 @ 7:22am
Another great puzzle. Challenging. thanks for creating.
aryev 9 Oct, 2019 @ 12:36am
I thought this was pretty genius.
Fumbly Bumbly  [author] 8 Oct, 2019 @ 10:56pm
Thanks folks! I'll consider removing the cube from the track platform button :)
jandlml 8 Oct, 2019 @ 8:59pm
same here about the beginning having the cube on the button. but it didnt take anything away from the map. i really enjoyed it! took some figuring out on my part. :steamhappy:
Mikeastro 8 Oct, 2019 @ 12:27pm
@Leomievs Yeah I also restarted the map because I thought I had broken something after pressing the button. @Fumbly Bumbly Ultimately I found this quite confusing as well, and I think you could do without that little tutorial, though in the end of course it's up to you
Leo 8 Oct, 2019 @ 11:02am
For some reason the ending sequence eluded me for a bit. Very nice puzzle, quite clever and original! Although I'm not sure it was necessary to put a cube on the platform button at the beginning, I guess you did it to show how the reset button works, but the first time I just thought the platform was moving by default, so it really confused me when pressing the pedestal button made the platform stop.

Very cool map Fumbly! I like the slightly higher difficulty level.
bullfrog 8 Oct, 2019 @ 1:06am
Great puzzle. I got to within 30 secs of the end quite quickly and then went blank for a few minutes for some reason. Definite thumbs up.
Fumbly Bumbly  [author] 7 Oct, 2019 @ 5:20pm
Thanks everyone!
Glad you enjoyed, Narkodes. All intended
Thanks for the heads-up Mike. I've fixed your exploit now :)
SHOOD 7 Oct, 2019 @ 5:00pm
Cool map but that bug made me go insane. Couldn't understand what I was doing wrong but when I read the bug I restarted the map and it took less than 5 mins to beat.
Mikeastro 7 Oct, 2019 @ 12:43pm
@Nark Yeah your solution seems more intended. @Fumbly Nevermind my complaining :p
Narkodes 7 Oct, 2019 @ 11:45am
@Mike: Hmm that sounds like you did it different than me?
jgaultney 7 Oct, 2019 @ 11:43am
A very enjoyable puzzle. My solution was the same as @Narkodes. :)
Definitely thumbs up and fav'ed!!
Mikeastro 7 Oct, 2019 @ 10:58am
Cool map! I could have done with an extra second or two on the timer for the funnel, because now I had to time things quite well to respawn the cube and still be able to ride the funnel back to the entrance area Other than that, I have no complaints. Big thumbs up :]
Narkodes 7 Oct, 2019 @ 6:40am
I love it. Hopefully, this is the intended solution: https://youtu.be/w7zgG78Nbr0
Demon Arisen 7 Oct, 2019 @ 4:08am
Deviously clever chamber! Very unique idea, well executed, and just the right level of challenge. Nice description too! Thumbs up and faved, keep up the amazing work <3
