Authentic Trench Warfare test map

Description
Bots are smart for this one I promise. They know how to use the trenches. it works. I am going to make some changes to better this.
it needs planes, tanks, and a propper machinegun house model. Recommended settings: 100 bots, equal balance, 10 or more sec spawn, no edits to the battle plan (default)

How to make a trench map in RF:
1. Start a map and flatten out everything
2. Make a hole in the ground (Ctrl + raise tool) that is a little bit taller than the machine gun turret
3. Select the hight of the hole to use for your trenches (Ctrl + flatten tool) (this is how deep they will be) which must be 6 wide (brush size 6)
4. use the flatten tool to create you trench system (this needs to include zig zags and curves to provide hidding spots)
5. Smooth out the trench system with the smooth tool to make it look natural
6. Select the raise tool (with a high brush size and medium intensity) to make the terrain look more natural (hills etc.)
7. Place a lot of avoidence boxes inside of the trench systen except for the front line, making sure that they are all connected (if you place avoidence boxes in the front trenchline the bots will never leave the system which is bad)
8. Select all avoidence boxes (press select, then hold Ctrl to select multiple items at a time) and raise them. This means that if a bot tries to exit a trench, they will hit their heads on the avoidence boxes and be forced to stay in the trench.
9. Press Nav mesh to make sure everything runs smoothly. The path finding may not be perfect so you must make edits yourself.

So yeah, this was hard but at the same time not hard.
Q: Why are there two flag poles right next to each other? A: to keep symetry, there is an avoidence box in between the two that stretches far. This was done because the bots kept hanging out on the right side and nobody went for the left.

If you find it hard to change the red flags blue and the blue flags red in the configuration menu at the start of a match, then simply check the "Reverse Mode" option in instant action
This is a WIP, feeback is needed, but like, be as realistic as possible.

omfgffgfgfgf guysssss the bots can now guard the trenches like proper ww1 dudesss.
I am working on a new trench map (its much simpler yet much more detailed). THE BOTS WORK!!!! I posted summ screenshots as proof (they are the latest). The map will have to wait whiles though because every detail I add corrupts the AI pathfinding so the process is quite tedious. sorry the map couldn't get out on christmas, or new year's.
THE ORIGINAL MAP HAS NOT BEEN EDITED

I love this map but the team who manages to cap the middle always wins. Could you make a version with the middle flags removed?

It's just so hard for anyone to make good maps because the AI doesn't behave the way it would need to for maps like this one to behave as they should.

@bouggus_bark I have a decent computer. The problem isn't so much your map it's the poor optimized AI in Ravenfield and it's inability to behave realistically.
