Description
Version 3.0 Mod has been subdivided and reorganized. It had gotten so large I was seeing a lot of complaints about loading and stability. If you've subscribed to this mod please go check the list and subscribe to whatever packs you want to! This was not done without a great deal of thought and consideration, but it really needed to be done. EF is far bigger than I ever expected it to become and It's been causing a lot of problems for people. I realize it will be an inconvenience to my users who want most if not all of the mod, but it should be a one-time inconvenience. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

What is Expanded Furniture?

Expanded Furniture seeks to provide you with a full array of decorating options. You no longer have to ask yourself "Why does X Set not have Y piece of furniture like Contemporary does?" Or "Why is the only decent storage shelf only available in basic brown?"

List of EF Modpacks!

See the readme in the install folder for detailed change notes, permissions if you want to use some of my work, and instructions for modders who might want to use EF systems for their own mods. (Please, modders! Steal my marker/totem patches for your own stuff!)

Other Features:

Highly Compartmentalized for Easy Customization If you don't like spoilers, or don't like a set of furniture or your computer just can't handle all the stuff in EF: that's ok! EF's been split into content packs so you can pick and choose only the bits you want.

Custom Fence System: All vanilla fences have been expanded or even reimagined so they will work under any circumstance. They all have autoTiling features and interact with eachother. They're awesome but complicated. Read the readme for tips on how to use them.

New Roof Slopes:There are two new sets of roof slopes. TAO (two above one 2/1 slope) and OAT (one above two. 1/2 slope) TAO blocks work best built from the bottom up.

Genericized Marker categories: All town markers now request generic categories of furniture for everything but the themed furniture requests. (You can use any kind of bookshelf you like, but if they want a pastel vanity then you still have to give that to them.) Type "bookshelf" or "tvstand" into the search function to see all the items that count as bookshelves or tvstands for marker requirements. Check the readme if you want the full list of keywords.
If you play with the AutoMagic Mod:
Automagic makes some under-the-hood changes to the Vanilla bookshelf. (You, know, the boring one you wanted to replace.) ONLY the Vanilla bookshelf will operate as a store shelf for Automagic. You'll be missing stuff if you change the bookshelves in the Building Store. The game will now auto detect AutoMagic and specifically require a Storage Bookshelf for the building store if you're using Automagic. Just be aware of the fact that you can't use fancy shelves or it will break the building store! Putting a Vanilla shelf in the store and then sleeping should restock any items if you forgot.

Pet Unique Furniture: Every pet has a unique futon for the pet set that only they will drop. If that's too much waiting for you: that's totally cool! The petshop now requires a fourth shelf that will stock pet furniture! Compatible with Automagic and Xable's.

This Mod is Enormous
Vanilla staxel has ~2000 objects. If you install all the EF packs you'll add ~2500 MORE objects. This is why the mod has been split up.
EF's loading time is very dependent upon how many packs you install. One or two packs might take 5 minutes. All of them can take 40 minutes to build on install or a change to your mod loadout. Future loading of the same setup should go a lot faster. See the discussion thread for details.

descripions are in the .lang files. They'll be in the "Explanded Furniture\LangFiles EN-gb\"

mods.ExpandedFurniture.GardeningSet.Seedlings1.name=Potted Seedlings
mods.ExpandedFurniture.GardeningSet.Seedlings1.description=Tender little plants that need love.

each entry will look like that.

mods.ExpandedFurniture.GardeningSet.Seedlings1.description=

Change the description lines to just have nothing after the = sign.

Hi is there somewhere in the mod files where i can remove some of the items' descriptions?

When you launch the game from steam it should give you a launcher with options to choose "staxel" "staxel CE" "and "mod launcher"

Once you have the launcher open you should pick Tools>content builder.

tysm for your help, I hope I'm not wasting too much of your time but where would I find the mod manager?
SF  [author] 8 Dec, 2021 @ 2:53pm
I just double checked the chandeliers and the roofs and they're all flagged to show up in the honey.comb catalog automatically. They're also searchable so they should be in the creative menu. My suggestion for the chandelier is to search for "fey" and "roof" for the roofs.

If that doesn't work, I'd suggest rebuilding the content via the mod manager.

If that doesn't work a full list of the particular items you can't find would help me troubleshoot.

I have, most notably the chandeliers from the festival pack and the roofs from the expanded roofs are missing (at least from the creative catalouge)

This is only the base Mod. It has the bookshelves, the pet set, and some patches. You'll need to pick and choose from the other packs listed in the mod description and download those to get the other furniture.

Unless you have an EXTREMELY capable machine I don't recommend installing all the packs at once. Just use the ones you like.

Im not sure why but only some of the furniture seems to be present? Is the modded stuff just not in the creative build catalog or is something wrong?
