I built this for Project Eden to basically plop down on planets as a place to store/deconstruct loot from raiding POIs, to process ore from mining, as well as a place to park the equipment for those tasks. Situations where building a full-on base wouldn't be worth it, but I still want to have a presence on the planet. It's a decent defensive position too, with flak up top, and a retractable cannon turret & minigun above and below the flight deck.
