A simple and ridiculously overpowered rotor gun. Now with Timers instead of a script.

The XR-5S is a rotor gun with 5 stacked rotors shooting advanced rotor heads. It is run entirely by timers, no scripts are necessary. The gun only shoots in single fire, meaning you have to trigger the timer every time you want to fire. The fire rate is around 300 rpm, but you can already shoot during the windup for up to 900 rpm at a slightly lower power. You can spam fire it as fast as you want, the timers are set up so that you can't possibly break it. If you place several guns on your ship, triggering any timer block will fire all guns at once. You only need one row of timers and can remove the others.

As rotor heads are generated for free even in survival, it does not need any ammo.

I don't encourage anyone to use this in pvp, since it's an exploit and incredibly overpowered. Usually a couple of shots will incapacitate any ship. It will also lag your pc when you spam out hundreds of rotor heads

-Blocks: 15
-PCU: 654 (+1 per projectile)
-Mass: 7.6 t
-Projectile mass: 850 kg
-FireRate: 300-900 RPM (the faster you shoot, the less power; max power below 300 rpm)


-Place it on your ship (see screenshots)
-Put Timer called Timer Block Rotor Gun FIRE in your toolbar with 'trigger now'
-Fire at will :D


-Project blueprint onto your ship and weld up the timers and first rotor
-Place 3 more advanced rotors on top
-Group them all under 'Rotor Gun - Accelerators'
-Place another advanced rotor on top
-Group only this one as 'Rotor Gun - Generator'
-Fire by triggering 'Timer Block Rotor Gun FIRE'


-When mounting several on the same ship, triggering one timer will fire all guns at once
-The gun works on planets, but the rotor heads are effected by gravity
-You can stack them right next to each other
-If you want to make a doomstack of these, you only need one row of timers
-The rotor heads bounce off the ground, you can use them similar to a torpedo
-You can use the kickback of the gun to propel your ship
