A rail of welders on each side finishing the parts as they are fired might maximise damage.

This is great! I just reverse-engineered your build to understand it and make a small-grid version of it. Quickly noticed that small rotor heads make bad kinetic munitions but a few sensors here and there, some tinkering with the timers and I now have an 15 RPM auto-loading, warhead launching system with timed and proximity fuses! Thanks again for sharing with us, very inspiring!

timers have ten pages, you can only do a thing once per page, but on every page. You could also make ten groups containing the same blocks.

It never did and it doesn't matter. They still weigh the same and do the same damage.

Survival doesn't spawn the heads fully welded anymore, can you please fix the timer sequence to add a phase for a welder to build the projectile?

I play in survival and there's no way to get multiple grids to be built using a projector. Would you happen to have a build video so we can make these without cut/pasting?

Did you make sure the groups are named correctly? Might just be a small typo. You can check that in the timers. If nothing is greyed out it should fire.

Okay so i am having issues when i bp the thing in creative it works fine but when i build it by hand in creative it doesn't shoot it. I do not understand what i am doing wrong i feel like i am copying everything to the T

Nice. I and my fellow Engineer have been contemplating adding a Clang gun to a corvette for laughs in survival. Your PJ gun is way more usable, but given the results of one user's experiments, a little (a lot) dangerous...

I think it's around 160 m/s, but it's limited by the speedlimit of course. You can increase the number of rotors to 6 or 7 for some extra speed.

Just realized they didn't remove the necessary line of code, only renamed it. So it still works with just rotor heads and full auto.

You can copy this exact layout with normal rotors on a small ship, it works the same way. However, small grid rotor heads don't do any damage to blocks, so it would be quite useless.

Keen removed the ability for scripts to add rotor heads to rotors, probably to break all rotor guns and similar exploits. I updated this one, it now only uses timer blocks, but other than that it's pretty much the same.

Yes, by detaching merge blocks. You need this script, it's a bit more complicated to setup and a lot more likely to break though.

It works everywhere, but the gravity will pull down the rotorheads, so you have to aim high. I think if you angle 45° up it will go up to 1 km.

I don't know much about the script, but it definitely works with small grids too. You will need more rotors though, or it will blow up. You can even do it with timers alone. This ship of mine has a timer operated rotor gun, the exact same setup should work for a small ship too.
It's not really that useful though since small grid rotor head don't seem to do any damage to blocks, they can only kill players.

Is there any way to make a small ship version? I've looked at the code in the programmable block and changed the settings to fit the small rotor size and changed the names of the small rotors to those of the larger ones, but it seemes that I'm missing something. Anyone got some tips?

Soooooooo the the unfinished block does not do damage.... (evil Engineer gears spinning in head) If you print something on the head that would be finished right? A heavy armor piece maybe....

Ah, makes sense. It seems to be ineffective right now anyway. The rotor heads just bounce off whatever they hit. Did Keen patch it?

@Ripcord It's possible, but needs quite a few timers, is less stable and will most likely only do single fire. I think I'm going to make a larger version of this with timers in future.

There's a setting called cooldown in the script of the pb. Change it to 8 for half the fire rate, 24 for a quarter, 56 for an eigth etc.

How can we reduce fire rate? on my server the PB burns after 1.5 seconds on auto the gun is great btw :)

Yeah it's really exploity, that's why I said 'pls don't use in pvp'. Back in the day you could even grind them down and get free steel plates.
