Description

This mod is designed to scan all turret block types at game start and disable the AI (automatic target tracking). The target audience for this would be PvP groups that want to force players to manually control turrets while in ship to ship combat.

Works on vanilla and modded turrets using the standard target tracking built into the game.

Does it affect NPC turrets? Example SPRT or modded turrets on MES modded ships?

Poppin in here hoping to see an update or anyone who has a good replacement. Need a mod like this that works on all turrets for a competitive PvP server.

Using or not using the turrets' AI should be an option in the game itself.
Only then would Keen understand that this AI is unnecessary.
Incentive to multi-crew combats, without performance drop with many grids during these combats.

This doesn't combat the new target copy feature on new turrets could any such mod be made to keep things running smooth on our combat server?

there is a way to disable player turret AI but keep NPC turet AI?
I want to increase the dificult on the PVE while nerfing PVP at same time (Im running a rover only server and so far I had to disable large turrets for players as they are too OP for rover combat)

I checked it pretty recently and it was still working - game hasn't been updated since the last change so result shouldn't be any different.

Keep in mind that the mod does not affect WeaponCore type weapons, since they implement their own scripted AI that this mod cannot access/modify.
