LAO 2.0 Light (v.4)

Description
Took out the affix expansion mod for those who don't want it. Everything else is still the same as the original LAO 2.0

*ATTENTION: LAO 2.0 is a separate mod from LAO v1.2. Unsubscribe and delete v1.2 out of your mod folder before subscribing to LAO v2.0.

Mods are located in My Documents > My Games > Runic > Torchlight II > Mods

Installing LAO 2.0 will break any previous version of LAO and result in deleting of all custom items. It has been rebuilt from the ground up, and all the items have changed and no longer exist in their original form. Don't worry though, the items in this version are better and it won't take long to find more.

This was done to add consistency to the mod and ensure easier updates for the future. Sorry for any inconvenience this has caused. The original version of LAO will not be deleted, if you want to continue to use that version, feel free to do so. However you will be missing out on a lot more loot and higher quality loot.

LAO 2.0 - Legendary Addon Description
This mod was created to enhance the loot in Torchlight 2. I was fairly disappointed in how legendary items were implemented and felt compelled to do something about it. When I first started this mod, I didn’t know it would grow to the size it is now. Hopefully this brings more satisfying loot mechanics that you will all enjoy.

Features

- Now adds more than 10,000 items into the game which include Unique and Legendary items

- Affixes on Unique and Legendary items have been rebalanced to spawn with in a range, that way they won’t all be the same every time it spawns. Ie, one item could have 5% ice damage, another drop of the same item could also have 10% ice damage

- Unique and Legendary items now spawn random affixes as well as keeping their original affixes

- Each Unique item has a level 95 version

- Each Unique item has a Legendary version at the same level

- Each Unique item has a level 105 Legendary version

- Legendary Armor will now spawn within a range (ie 150-200 physical armor)

- Magic items now have a Random Unique version at the same level, these items have one or two fixed affixes and the rest are random (yellow colored loot)

- Each Random Unique item has a new Unique name

- Each Random Unique item has a level 100 version

- Set items now have a different color when they drop so you can better recognize them
(see screen shots)

- Legendary items will no longer turn orange when you mouse over the item on the ground

- Removed Class Requirements from items

-Legendary drops have been tweaked and are now part of the game. It won’t take you 300 hours anymore until you find your first Legendary.

-Legendary drops are now more controlled than they were in v1.2, you typically won't find them from normal mobs, barrels, rocks, urns etc anymore

- Bosses now have a good chance to drop a Legendary (Boss runs are now worth while)

- Boss chests, Golden Chests, Secret Chests, Mimics and Huge Chests all have a chance to drop a Legendary

- Champions have a chance to drop Legendary items

- Hero’s and Elites (Synergies Mod) have a chance to drop Legendary items

- Left the vanilla Legendary drop rates intact (did not alter them), so you can still find Legendary items from anything, just not very likely

- Added a very small chance for a “Pinata” drop from Bosses. You will know it when you see it :)

- Used merged Spawnclasses so this should be compatible with almost any mod

- Left Unique drop rates the same as vanilla, but more will drop just because there are so many more. They won’t drop out of the sky though.

Special thanks to Mamba, this wouldn't have been possible with out his collaboration on creating the tools to automate the item creation process and his attention to detail. This mod is as much his as it is mine now and is much improved because of him. Mamba helped create the mod I had originally envisioned and helped add so much more. I can't say enough of how much I appreciate his work on LAO 2.0. Thanks!

Also want to thank Wayback on his work on creating new Unique item names for the Random Unique's. I think many of you will enjoy the new item names his work as brought in. It really helps the new items come alive. Wayback also helped me figure out how to get Unique and Legendary items to spawn random affixes at the same time retaining their assigned affixes.

Does this Mod leave any items for harder modes/end game only?

If I use this Mod, will I basically find every item skin in the game (visually) on my normal playthrough? I get that the statistical variance means there's basically an indefinite number of variant forms of the same item I can find-- but I'm still finding the same item with different stats... are there any items I won't find until I'm at end game? Or does this Mod basically make it so that I've encountered nearly every item in the game on my first playthrough and the end game becomes basically a quest to increase my stats? Thanks!

Published v.4

- Updated to LAO 2.0 v.23 of content, minus Wayback's affix expansions

- Includes my new affix changes and 2 hand weapon balances

- Changed drop rates on a lot of the spell scrolls. Most are never seen, so they should drop with a bit more frequency and variety.

- Increased the Portal and Identify spell scrolls to slightly higher then other spells. I have never found one of these with around a 300 hours played. Hopefully they will drop with more frequency now.

Technically you could use both mods. What ever mod loaded first would take preference to the changes made to vanilla items. But all the other new items have different ID numbers, so you could have LAO 1.2 items and LAO 2.0 items. I have never tried this. I would load LAO 2.0 first and LAO 1.2 second if it was me. I don't forsee any major issues with this.

Does having 2.0 also cause problems with 1.1 or is it only 1.2 O.o?

Is it possible for you to re-enable class restrictions on equipment?
