Greece (circa 2011)

Description
Officially the Hellenic Republic, Greece traces its roots to the Ancient Greek civilisation that was the birthplace of much of western civilisation. It is a founding member of the UN, the European Union and the Council of Europe. However, post-2010 debt crisis, it is now a country in dire peril, with spiralling debt, nearly 30% unemployment and rampant tax evasion.

Fair warning, this is a very hard scenario, and is more challenging than any of the scenarios that come with Democracy 3. That said, while hard, it is possible to turn around Greece's fate and remain in office, but it may take some ruthless politicking...

Pretty much went into martial law and had extreme nationalism pop up along with race riots right off. Doing well though as the debts vaporizing and the economy is thundering forward.

Not really difficult to flip the deficit into +70 bln, with economics and social stats booming...

But how to get those ungratful SoBs to actually be thankful and vote for me at the end of first term is so far beyond me.... :KScared:

Stayed in office for only 1 term. In that term I achieved the following:
GDP +34%, Poor Income +60%, Health +20%, Education +13%, Crime -43%
Got 12% of the vote...
Yup, sounds like Greece. Doesn't sound like a fun or plausible mod though.

Did it. Solved all of Greece's problems. 98.86% are voting FOR me, removed everything except Tax Evasioin (Which i cant get rid of. At all.) And im only 3billion in defecit - and thats while the Global Economy is in masive recession and im still paying debt intrest. Unemployment is under 10%, homelesness eradicated, Technological advantage...

And the only option i changed was "Compulsory Elections" to "On" - but i dont think it matters, because, as i said, 99% of the population is in my pocket. There is no-one to vote against me.

10/10 would fix world problems again.

Ive actually played it now, and i have to say, very challenging. Very fun. I didnt make it a single term before i got assassinated by the religous party (For some reason. I didnt do anything to piss THEM off!) but i DID manage to make a positive ballance of about 10billion. It was all going well, but DAMN is it hard to get "Everyone" happy!
