More Roads - Recon

In 1 collection by Luke ✞ Jesus Saves ✞
More Roads
4 items
Description
Roads are created when recon units move. This includes Railroad once you have the technology (Steam Power) researched. Persian also should have their road advantage.

Recon class units added by other mods should work too (as long as they use the same PROMOTION_CLASS_RECON promotion tree). Game units include: Scout, Ranger, Highlander (Scottish), Okihtcitaw (Cree), Warakaq (Inca), Spec Ops, Skirmisher.

Should not use with More Roads - Military because that mod already contains effect of this mod. Don't think it will crash, but will just be redundant and reduce your game performance.

Check out other mods that make other units make road when they move too.

The current format makes little sense historically...

Could you make it so that barbarian recons don't make roads??

@Badfur I think the Discussion session is open to everyone, or does it only allow me to start a new one? Here's the link: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/discussions/1931881346

@Subutai: it's an old idea I made many mods when I started, and this is for a guy who requested Recon-class only. Yeah I know balance-wise it's not very nice but it was when I was still a noob and new to modding.

I like the idea, but i think it should only work inside ones own borders. It seems kinda goofy to have roads in every other tile around the map.

Hi, I like the idea behind this mod, but I disagree with how it is implemented. I'd like to discuss it, but don't necessarily want to fill out this comment section with unrelated to how this mod actually functions comments. If you'd be amenable to discussion elsewhere?
