Hike in the Hills (Redux) [SP]

Description
You are a FIA medic, part of a patrol returning to Athira. Your team has heard reports of AAF activity near Galati, so you head there to check them out.

This is a replayable mission featuring a varying number of enemies, different enemy spawn locations, and a randomly selected time of day. Inspired by my favourite A2:OA scenario "Hike in the Hills". No mods required.

Just a note: I play this on Normal difficulty and rarely finish it, so it may be frustratingly difficult on higher settings. If that's the case, let me know and I'll see if I can tweak the settings.

Nice little mission, only complaint is that my team stayed at the start position too much time

Does this mission break the ACE3 self interaction menu for anyone else? Seems like a fun mission will return with ACE3 unchecked.

@Frisky Dingo: Thanks for the feedback. I don't know if you've tried any of the AI mods, but they can make the AI more aggressive. My favourite is bcombat, which is available on the BI forums. The AI will react to shots and explosions they hear and will seek out enemy forces. They'll also throw smoke and frag grenades and use suppressing fire. It really changes the gameplay.

As for the civs, I think you're right. I had been playing with TWP Mods which populates the town, so I didn't add them in the mission itself. I'll definitely look into adding some the next time I update the mission.

Really fun mission. It felt authentic and was easy to slip into a roleplay as a guy on patrol, just doing his job, and then getting blindsided with some guerrillas.

It was a lot of fun clearing the streets and fighting in closer quarters than usual.

As far as things I would change go, I would have liked the enemies to be more aggressive. For an ambushing force, they sure waited for us to find and kill them. They fired when they could, but there wasn't a lot of pushing or pursuit on their part. I dunno if there's much you can do about that issue.

The other thing is that I think there should be civilians in the town. If they aren't there it's a ghost town, or the entire town is guerrillas. Both are unrealistic, imo. I mean, most would be inside hiding, but it would be nice if you had some on the street, running and hiding.

Good job, thanks for a fun mission.

Solid little mission. Thanks for that =)

The first MG in the town killed my squadleader, but everything else went good. The enemy was not overpowered.

@Amooei - It's not on PwS because it's still in beta. You can find it on the Arma 3 forums: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?171436-OPEN-BETA-SP-bCombat-infantry-AI-Mod
