DESCRIPTION
Salutation.

This mod contains the ghost templates for use with WSR of all the weapons contained in the following mods:

To be more precise, this mod contains, exactly:
  • Reach Assault Rifle
  • Reach Shotgun
  • Reach DMR
  • Reach Magnum
  • Reach Sniper Rifle
  • Reach Turret
  • ODST Silenced SMG (taken from [Wotc] Halo Weapons Medley)
  • Covenant Plasma Pistol
  • Covenant Plasma Rifle
  • Covenant Plasma Sword

Template names are listed in the mod's ReadMe file. Questions asking for template names will not be answered.

For screenshots, please refer to the original mod's pages linked above.

Be aware that this templates are cosmetic only: they won't appear in your game and even if you force them to, they have no stats whatsoever. They are exclusively for WSR use.


FEATURES
  • A total of 9 weapon templates to choose from!
  • Uses the very same packages used by the original mods.
  • Completely rewritten localization files with data gathered from the wiki, for those who want to take advantage of WSR's "COPY_LOCALIZATION" flag. I purposefully avoided to write anything regarding magazine sizes to keep things consistent.


KNOWN ISSUES
  • The Energy Sword doesn't work properly with Primary Secondaries because of the animation override, so don't use it to swap a Primary Sword.
  • Due to the visual resources used being the original, unmodified ones, this mod is NOT compatible with any of the mods it draws the weapons from. Activating both will result in neither working.
  • The Tactical Legacy Pack DLC is only needed for the Covenant Plasma Pistol's projectile. If you have no intention of using that weapon, the rest of the arsenal is perfectly usable with just base WOTC.


FAQ
Q: Why are the Halo 4 and 5 weapons not included in the pack?
R: Read the title.

Q: But the ODST SMG also isn't from Reach!
R: That's not a question, but alright. I included the SMG because the original mod it came in for WOTC had a conflict issue with all the other Halo weapon mods, forcing users to download and keep unwanted weapons in order to keep the SMG. Besides, it's the only workshop Halo weapon that comes from Halo 3 ODST, and making a one-weapon pack would have been dumb; it makes sense, to me, to place it in the pack with all the other Bungie-designed weapons.

Q: Is the above just an excuse to say that you don't like the Halo 4 and 5 weapons?
R: Yes, but actually no.

question does the chaingun hold differently or still holds by the bottom? or is there no what to change that?

I'm having issues with the H5 Turret. No textures (it's all black) and no sound from the gun. When I run in conjuction orriginal H5 Turret, I get the texture but no sound.

Actually, Veehemtia is explaining exactly what you need to do, but it's not a simple (1.2.3) thing so you seem to miss that.

You CAN remove Ghost templates you don't want loaded...in the WSR Config file.
You CAN change what weapon archetype a ghost template is used for (eg. make the dmr a vektor rifle, in your case)...in (you guessed it) the WSR Config file.
You CAN just simply change the category when using Xskin, to put the smg skin on a bullpup, or the DMR skin on a vektor rifle, if all of the above is too difficult.

Honestly it seems like you're just lashing out at the mod author for not getting down on their knees and pleading for forgiveness in the form of making an arbitary change to help you out, when you refuse to use the mods YOU'VE installed and the tools they come with on their own.

Grow up. show respect for others and they will respect your own time.

Also if anybody else wants to use these through Xskin, uncheck the "slot" filter, they'll be in the list then

@Longfang No tutorials, but you can ask around in the XCOM 2 Modding discord server; they'll help you and point you to the right resources to learn. Glad to hear it's been useful!

@Tyler Chambers Allow me to reiterate: this is a WSR mod. Made for WSR. You're asking me to fix a WSR mod to "work" with XSkin (even though it already does) because you don't want to learn to use XSkin properly or read its instructions.
Also, guess what? With WSR you can change the weapon category of any weapon you like, and I'm 100% sure XSkin allows for cross-category weapon customization via config; so you can make that DMR whatever you please.
