Description
Behold The Grand Tolkien Station, and it 's rotating rings! 100% Vanilla!

Also Known as my Mk. 2 Station from the previous MK.1 Solaris Station.

This Station Boasts Vastly superior Defense over the MK.1
A better Layout for getting around Quickly.
More hangar space with it's 4 Hangar bays and 4 workshop bays for building new small ships!
A bolder Thicker Design built with Luxury Power and pirate slaughter in mind.

This is a Massive Station.... 45000 Blocks


Hangar doors will open automatically for small ships, now without the 20 second delay for faster deployment.

large ship Transfer ports will extend out to your ship when within 30 meters, After locking on to the connector, be sure to turn off your thrusters as the station will pull your ship in close. after disengaging the station, it will gently push your ship away. so pay attention when docking.

there are plenty of ways to mod this and it was built for that purpose so feel free to do so. just be sure to give me a mention if you decide to publish a modded version of it.

THERE IS NO BRIDGE
Don't need it. This station is intended to be self defending and does not move, so get in a fighter and head out to fight.
The station has control consoles on multiple decks, program them how you like or move them around, the station is yours now after all.

THERE ARE NO SCRIPTS
Add your own program blocks and scripts and setup the way you like.

This station Does Not Move ( looking at you Dragonfang 9) only the rings rotate, so place it where you want it to live.
it has decorative Jump Drives.... so in theory you could jump it if you set all subgrids to ship....
But you would need to be crazy to do so.... Dragonfang 9.... not pointing fingers..

I make them one segment at a time. i set the first segment to station so it wont move while building. i mark it with paint so i dont lose track of it while building. after building the next segment i move it into place with a tug ship. then i hop out of my ship and manually connect the rotors or hinges in the control panel on each segment. as far as angles to set..... well thats just math and luck and several offerings to Clang our lord and savior. 8) if you look through my screenshots you will see some of the process in there.

Quick question.... Where are the Refineries? I want to swap out some of the modules with other modded ones... Been digging around but rather not have to start pulling things apart randomly looking

Right on man, im glad you were able to build it in survival. this was my second attempt at a large spinning station and im currently working on a 3rd one with way better design. im sorry about how much of a pain converting the station from ship to station can be but i never intended it to be mobile. more of a deep space hub. anyway i hope you and everyone else who loved this station will be happy with the new design im hoping will be done soon

Awesome station, built it in survival and it took me a week+ mainly because of slow component and refining capabilities.
Using the jump drives is possible but setting the 2 modules back to station again after can be a pain.
Currently reworking the station to my needs in creative mode as I use some mods that I wanted to incorporate and tbh even if I loved the spinning parts I had to remove some of the rotors and spinning parts and merge them together to help with sim speed.

Added more cargo space, sorting system, thrusters (to help stabilize after jumps), merged together the main modules, upgraded refineries, assemblers, batteries, solar panels, cargo containers, O2 generators, Jump drives, gyros, removed a lot of conveyor junctions and put in tubes or AQD conveyor expansion blocks, changed the 2 door airlocks with rotary door airlocks, added shield...

@Mahiitsoh @Warwulf13 @Dragonfang-9 Im currently working a new design of this station with a working 4 story Elevator and better station wide access to facilities
