Often described as the galactic newcomers, the Tyomi have only very recently entered the age of interstellar space travel. Aided by the Beyurans in their first steps beyond their solar system they are becoming a trading powerhouse. Their ships already rival or exceed other factions in numerical terms, though they have much futher to go in order to become militarily equal as their technology is not yet at the level of other factions.

To the Tyomi, space travel is seen as a grand and romantic adventure, and in their crowded backyard the Tyomi have had to go far to establish colonies. Other factions view Tyomin as opportunistic, though Beyura fosters their expansion - Tyomin may one day be just the ally Beyura needs, should the region erupt once more into war.

Their ships are yet to grow beyond Cruiser size, but with their burgeoning merchant network, it can hardly be long before the Tyomi purchase or discover technology allowing larger ships.
