Personally, I was never a fan of cards that let you win before hitting Uno—it skips the whole point of the game. That’s why the Infinity Gauntlet brings you down to one card instead of just winning, and why discard cards don’t let you drop your final card.
That said, “Play Again” technically does let you win early, but it’s the only one like that, so it feels like a unique exception rather than something cheap.
So yeah—my take is no, you can’t use a gift card to ditch your last card. But that’s just how I see it. If you and your group are fine with it, make it a house rule.
Appreciate that people still enjoy this weird little game I made while bored during lockdown :)
