Description
Communications Overhaul - Vanilla ReBalance 'FIX'

This mod adjusts the stats of vanilla communications blocks

———————————————————————————————————————————

- FIXED vanilla 'laser antennas' having infinite range.

- Adjusted 'critical components' for Radio Antennas & Beacons to require 50% of a fully built one.
This broke the mod for some reason, KEEN wtf *KirkScreaming.gif*

- Slightly adjusted power consuption.

- Made Beacons more viable as LR distress beacons

(currently, it seems beacons have infinite range,
if they are conneted to an ore detector in detection range of deposits,
on same grid/connected via antenna (KEEN-side issue, as far as i can tell),
broadcasting the deposit positions across the galaxy)


- Substantial buff for small & large grid Ore Detectors


Intended to rebalance vanilla comms blocks
and give back old value to mods like
Darth Biomech's Deep Space Tranceiver or Phoenix' Radio Antennas

Do the laser antennas with the mod also work on multiplayer online servers? The vanilla laser antennas work very poorly if not at all there.

Any chance you can add a small 2x1x1 Radio Antenna for large grid. with mabe 100km range

ye, i meant to scale it down lol

kinda forgot bout updating it - bc priorit for this change was low, considergn it's meant to be seen from as far away as possible
(idealy i'd up the large beacons' range, by A LOT, instead but that is not possible with simple SBC edits)

Would it be possible for the Small Grid Beacon to have its range scaled down compared to the Large Grid, the way the Antenna and Detector are?

Overall, awesome mod. The fact that a tiny low cost antenna has the same range as a massive one has always bothered me.

Confirmed issue on my side as well
Looking into it
but couldn't find the issue just yet, i'm investigating :)

this may or may not be a KEEN-issue this time 'round..

sorry to bother you again, but it seems the latest game patch has broken this mod. when installed, antennas do not function and act as if not fully built (incomplete in terminal)

yes, it definitely was mod conflicts, so i cleared them out for now as the extended range is worth it
