- What do I get with this download?

A brand new league based in England and made up of 599 of the best teams in the world from Real Madrid and Barcelona to Ceske Budejovice and St. Johnstone plus a Development League made up of 152 teams from each country that doesn't have any team in the full World League. This includes every country in the world from Jamaica to Bhutan.

- What is the structure of this league?

There are 21 main leagues. A premier league made up of 20 teams and 20 more divisions with 24 teams each. Teams are sorted purely be reputation. There is also a 'qualification pool' with 99 teams which you can choose to load or leave 'invisible' so you don't know which new teams will enter the World League at the end of each season. Finally, there are 5 Development Leagues made up of teams representing all the countries in the world that didn't make it into the main leagues or qualification pool.

- Are there any cup competitions?

Of course. In fact, there are four: the FIFA World League Cup, FIFA World Lower League Cup, FIFA World League Trophy, and the FIFA World League Community Shield. The League Cup and Lower League Cup are straight knock-out competitions for each half of the league. The FIFA World League Cup is the most prestigious cup competition in the world.

The FIFA Trophy is split into two stages: a group stage with 16 groups and a knock-out stage for the best two teams from each group. The top 6 clubs from each division plus the top 8 clubs from the Premier League qualify. This can make for some exciting end-of-season matches even for teams that no longer have a chance for promotion.

The Community Shield is a match between the League Cup and Lower League Cup winners that takes place at the start of the season.

- Sometimes with custom leagues the team has the same nationality as the league so their regens are from the wrong country. Will this happen in the FIFA World League?

Nope. Each team retains their original nationality so their regens will come from their own country.

- What happened to the Barclays Premier League?

It's still there. It's 'below' the qualification pool but there is no promotion to the World League. It's a separate league and in future updates I hope to expand it to include more divisions.

- Can I play with other nations at the same time as the World League?

Sure. I've edited the other nations to make their leagues playable although remember they no longer include the teams that have now moved to the World League.

- Ok, so how do I download this awesome thing?

1. Click Subscribe.
2. Open up FM2014 and go to FM > Downloads > Steam Workshop > FIFA World League > Install.
3. Start a new game.

Yes please! The file is very complicated and there may well be issues with it that I haven't seen yet.

- Where the hell is Ajax [or insert favourite team]? Don't you know they won the Champions League?

Ajax are in Division Two. Teams are sorted purely by reputation according to SI researchers. This is the fairest way I could think of and sorry if you're favourite team is lower than you expect. It's pretty easy to edit the leagues so please go ahead if you want to make changes.

Known Issues:
- Big clubs sometimes go into debt due to bad projection of finances
- World Qualification Pool is no longer in dropdown list of English competitions but is still accessible in other ways e.g. search or in team info/histories
- I have not tested extensively the playable leagues outside the world league.

Still to do:
- English league (premiership and championship done)
- Add awards for all divisions
- Fix unplayable leagues (hong kong, india, indonesia, malaysia, singapore, iceland, n. ireland, usa)
- World Trophy not working as intended. Not picking top 6 teams
