Description
Garden Resources (Does not require Vegetable Garden)

Research Resource Plants:
-Steel Shrooms
-Plasteel Bulb Chunks
-Gold Fern Leaves
-Silver Flower Petals
-Uranium Root Bulbs


-Adds new recipes added to the Electric Smelter to smelt plants.


Grow Resources:
- Grow plants, which soak up minerals from the ground.
- Extract the minerals into ores at the Electric Smelter.
- Requires high growing and crafting skills.

After Research.
Plants take 12-18 days to grow.
Each plant harvests 16.
At your Smelter you get 4 ores.

You won't get rich off this mod. But like my last colony didn't have plasteel on the map. So i was able to make tables i needed till a trader showed up.

Patch for Vanilla Iron and Steel:
-Steel Shroom recipe at smelter produces Iron instead of Steel

Thanks for the personal reply, I shall endeavour harder to try and find some mods that do this. Glad I wasn't loosing my mind that VGP mods were about before 1.0, wow 10 years, started playing from alpha 17 myself. I also seem to have the bad luck of generally getting a starting colony with no plasteel and waiting on the drips you get off traders. I have fond memories of creating huge under mountain grow rooms to grow resources then managing the insects attacking me from them. Anyway thanks for the reply and for creating the mods and maintaining them, great work, its appreciated.

Holeoe: The mod has been around since Alpha 9. There was like 19 or 20 Alphas. 2 Betas. And 6 versions since release. The mod is around 10 years old!

Im not sure if there is a yield slider for plants out there. There are a lot of tweek mods. You might find that setting in one.

Really appreciate you continuing the VGP mods for so long, Enjoyed your VGP mods for as long as I can remember playing rimworld, not sure if VGP mods were about pre 1.0, I remember they were. A quick question to anyone, is there a mod that makes the cut plants require allot more of them to make a single resource. On the off chance is it possible to add sliders in mod options menu to adjust tihs? per resource. I would assume that would require a great deal of work.

I am working on adding of the new plants currently for the dlc's . I am testing Hemogen flowers and can look into this as well. TY for the suggestion.

Hello, thank you for the great mods, I love the VGP series! May I have a small request, if possible? To add Bioferrite for growing, if you have Anomaly installed. I understand it might not be necessarily needed, since you can somewhat easily get it in bunches from a good 'entity farm', but I would've loved the idea of actually farming it like the other resources :))) Keep up the good work!
