It's always annoyed me that the 'Lost Cultures' accessible in the Nation Designer are all sorted into a single Culture Group. While this is obviously both a quick-fix solution to the sorting of these cultures, as well as an attempt to ease the selection process of finding them, it seems so silly to me that I decided to do something about it!

Proper Lost Cultures transfers each culture in the 'Lost Culture' group into a new, distinct group. At present, most are the only cultures in their respective groups, but in future, I may fill out out each Culture Group with other new cultures. This was originally made for my own use, but I figured that I might as well upload it to the workshop.

The cultures are currently grouped as follows (next to some footnote numbers talking about the derivation of the names and other miscellaneous information):

(1.) Hellenic Greek and Quasi-Greek cultures.
(2.) Ancient Egyptian.
(3.) Hellenic Ancient Egypt.
(4.) Ancient Roman, 'Romani-Veri' approximately translating to 'True Roman'.
(5.) Indigenous Prussian / Western Baltic Native.
(6.) Deriving an the endonym of the Vikings.
(7.) Deriving from Sargon of Akkad and his huge precursory impact on what would become 'Babylonia'.
(8.) Deriving from the name of the Etruscan homeland.
(9.) Deriving from an endonym of the Etruscans
(10.) A dynastic name of Parthia's some of Parthia's primary historical rulers
(11.) Derived from the legendary figure that was the supposed forebear of the Scythians
(12.) The most important culture of all, ported from CKII
(13.) Affixed with 'Eponite' to distinguish it from the Brittanic-Celtic Group in the base game, Eponite referring to being 'of Epona', who was one of a very limited selection of pan-regional deities worshipped widely across the ancient Celtic world.

Obviously, some creative leaps have had to have been made, but every name has had thought put into it and is, I feel, justified. I've tried to make the Culture Group names more general, with the names of the cultures themselves narrowing down in specificity.

~~COMPATIBILITY~~

Does this work with ironman?

You will be able to turn ironman on, but you won't be able to get achievements, as this changes important game files, despite the changes themselves being small.

What about *X* mod?

Proper Lost Cultures should be compatible with most mods, but it won't work with anything that overrides the default culture file, '00_cultures', and will need a compatibility patch to remedy this.

As a side note, the new culture groups also work with the Mughal Government assimilation mechanic, too, and each offer unique bonuses. In order to make this work, though, I've had to change one other file - namely, '01_government_reforms_monarchies'. So while the mod is theoretically incompatible with other files that modify this government file as well, unless you're playing with the Mughal Government, this doesn't matter in the slightest!

I'm guessing this mod is now dead? Also when this mod is active, it is physically no ability to vote for an emperor in the HRE killing the HRE upon the death of Frederick III of Austria

Hope this mod gets updated soon. I've been experiencing a crash when I zoom in over Australia on the map. Not normally a problem but what if I want to play as a custom nation there?

That's true, there'd have to be some to fill in the gaps.
As for the renaming, yes, I believe I did change it to Prusic.

Many new culture groups would remain anyway since the vanilla ones might not suffice.
Also, I got confused, did you rename Pruthenian to Prusic?
