Description
Pinpoint accuracy at up to 200 meters, well, not really, but pinpoint for early 19th century standards!

The Baker Rifle, a classic flintlock rifle known for its accuracy and being a hassle to load because, unlike most other weapons of the time, the ball was actually the same diameter as the bore. Basically think of it like an accurate musket! Have fun trying to push in a new ball after like, 5 shots of fouling later. The rifle was primarily used by the British (such as the famous 95th Rifles), although a fair few saw their way into Prussian service and probably various other countries. The French, as per usual, developed their own rifle to combat the British version with.

The rifle's my first weapon model ever, plus my first animation, so it's probably, uh, not super amazing quality, but I feel I did it a fair justice. Just, make your shots count or else it's bad news for you! It's also been broken for the better majority of a month, so I'm glad I fixed it. How, you may ask? I don't know, really, I don't.

Information
  • Includes one weapon, the Baker Rifle. It's found in the Marksman, Black Powder, and Napoleonic tabs
  • 145 damage (ouch!) with dropoff starting to occur at roughly 200 meters
  • High knockback, so even if it doesn't kill you, you're falling to the ground anyways
  • 29 cartridges in reserve
  • 29 second reload

Special Thanks To:
  • The fine fellows of the Ravenfield server, too many to mention, but a short list: Spades (because he's cool), Krev, Mella, Lordaloa, and a bunch of others who, at the very least, tried to help me fix this hecker. Thanks to all of you!
  • All of the people who have been encouraging me to keep working on this, you know who you are!

What's next? I promised Spades I'd animate my Springfield 1861 in exchange for some '30s-era Czechoslovaks, so look forwards to that, after that, I have an Enfield 3-band P53 and an 1805 Harper's Ferry pistol.

Discord
Yes, I have a Discord. I post various status updates and it's just all-around a spiffy little place with emotes and other stupid stuff.

I don't know if anyone's typed this, yet, but I would like to thank you for bringing the Napoleonic Era and Victorian Era to the workshop. It's such a cool time period that I am happy to see around.

I own a musket for home defence, since that's what the founding fathers intended. Four ruffians break into my house. "What the devil?" As I grab my powdered wig and Kentucky rifle. Blow a golf ball sized hole through the first man, he's dead on the spot. Draw my pistol on the second man, miss him entirely because it's smoothbore and nails the neighbours dog. I have to resort to the cannon mounted at the top of the stairs loaded with grape shot, "Tally ho lads" the grape shot shreds two men in the blast, the sound and extra shrapnel set off car alarms. Fix bayonet and charge the last terrified rapscallion. He Bleeds out waiting on the police to arrive since triangular bayonet wounds are impossible to stitch up, Just as the founding fathers intended

For sure, I just don't know when.
