thanks
Pompadour Nautice  [author] 9 Jul, 2024 @ 6:10pm
Eventually I'll just remake the entire mod
Tacogamer33 8 Jul, 2024 @ 2:35pm
could you make the realod speed shorter maybe like 16 seconds
Pompadour Nautice  [author] 2 Mar, 2024 @ 1:51pm
You are absolutely welcome, and I'm happy to have (and hopefully continue) done it

I don't know if anyone's typed this, yet, but I would like to thank you for bringing the Napoleonic Era and Victorian Era to the workshop. It's such a cool time period that I am happy to see around.

I own a musket for home defence, since that's what the founding fathers intended. Four ruffians break into my house. "What the devil?" As I grab my powdered wig and Kentucky rifle. Blow a golf ball sized hole through the first man, he's dead on the spot. Draw my pistol on the second man, miss him entirely because it's smoothbore and nails the neighbours dog. I have to resort to the cannon mounted at the top of the stairs loaded with grape shot, "Tally ho lads" the grape shot shreds two men in the blast, the sound and extra shrapnel set off car alarms. Fix bayonet and charge the last terrified rapscallion. He Bleeds out waiting on the police to arrive since triangular bayonet wounds are impossible to stitch up, Just as the founding fathers intended

For sure, I just don't know when.
45elperro 19 Jan, 2024 @ 12:00pm

The map is Dunker Church, and the skins are all by me. My Napoleonic-themed skins (older ones, I have newer and better ones up now).
Specifically British Riflemen and Prussians
Hans Schimidt 10 Feb, 2023 @ 12:21pm
What is the map and skins in the pictures?

the reload takes a long time.... I LOVE IT now this is what you call fun. the stress from reloading the rifle while the enemie team is comming towards you. is just luck if you miss good luck reloading.. oh wait nvm the otehr team has the same problem so both are like

hol up gotta reload my musket
yea bro me too
*akward silence when reloading
Pompadour Nautice  [author] 16 Apr, 2022 @ 10:08am
I appreciate the kind words, thank you!
sycOwood65 16 Apr, 2022 @ 9:48am
I'd love to see that. Also, I've only just realized how many of your project's I've downloaded.. I have your Revolutionary war skins as well as the Springfield.. You make very good work..
Pompadour Nautice  [author] 16 Apr, 2022 @ 9:19am
Very glad you like it, I'd like to make a big pack of flintlocks down the line
sycOwood65 16 Apr, 2022 @ 8:55am
Well to be honest I just kind of play whatever I feel like it, I read a book about the Alamo and I wanted to play that in Ravenfield, but I do sometimes play civil war and revolutionary war as well. I will still use the baker rifle for the rest of my flintlock era games, thank you.. I find it funny that there was a war in which soldiers were standing there trying to hammer the round into the barrel while the enemy is coming closer, that's hilarious. Thank you for the gun, again it is probably the best flintlock musket on the workshop.. I'd sacrifice my sanity for an accurate musket.. Also, your Harper's Ferry pistol is a very good fire arm and I love it.. The sound of the hammer being cocked is so satisfying.
Pompadour Nautice  [author] 15 Apr, 2022 @ 9:57pm
I followed an early Napoleonic drill for the flintlock rifles, it seems the riflemen used the mallet to set the ball into the rifling. As, unlike the more standard infantry muskets that were smoothbore (and fired a ball smaller than the actual bore), these used lead balls that you had to press into the rifling. They took much longer to load due to that, though in the future when I remake this I'll try and include a faster-loading variant.

It was my first gun made, so I appreciate that you like it heh. My 1798 Austrian is much less accurate, but offers a far faster reload (based on a video of the 1784).

In terms of other accurate muskets, I would suggest checking out either my Springfield 1861 or P53 Enfield. They're percussion cap-based, and seeing you commented on the Alamo map, probably wouldn't be what you'd be using in that scenario.
sycOwood65 15 Apr, 2022 @ 9:46pm
The gun is great, it's actually one of the few muskets that doesn't suck ass.. but the reloading time is so stupidly slow even for a musket.. I can take a nap and eat a three course dinner before it finishes. I understand the animation and process of reloading the musket (except the hammer part that seems weird), but I think it could be sped up a bit.. Again, this is one of the only muskets on the workshop that isn't some ridiculous joke or some inaccurate piece of wood.. It's an accurate-ish musket, which is better than normal, so thank you for that..
BigSmiley 3 Apr, 2022 @ 12:28am
silly reload animatio hihi
BasicallyaFilipino 29 Dec, 2021 @ 7:10pm

make a version that is fully auto but for the player only. my sanity will thank you
Femboy gaming 22 Mar, 2021 @ 10:17am
kill me
patrickjohnson102296 12 Mar, 2021 @ 8:34am
that'll be awesome
Pompadour Nautice  [author] 1 Mar, 2021 @ 7:25pm
I would like to make those at some point
patrickjohnson102296 1 Mar, 2021 @ 6:29pm
can you add the kentucky & jaeger rifles?
Acchara (Acchs) 11 Feb, 2021 @ 12:20pm
Almost as fast as the Automatico Akimbo. Close contest.
Doctor Pyro 10 Jan, 2021 @ 5:10pm
it's very slow firing but if you use it properly it can go against a submachine gun or assault rifle
Pompadour Nautice  [author] 10 Jan, 2021 @ 9:18am
oh yes
Doctor Pyro 10 Jan, 2021 @ 9:10am
aim for head- delete target
Doctor Pyro 10 Jan, 2021 @ 9:09am
145 damage to the body yes but a headshot will smack a 300 hp soldier right off the face of the earth
Pompadour Nautice  [author] 10 Jan, 2021 @ 1:24am
Also wait, this thing only deals 145 damage
Pompadour Nautice  [author] 10 Jan, 2021 @ 1:23am
I mean, sure, one-on-one fair game. Dealing with any more than that and you're in for a troublesome time assuming they're close enough
Doctor Pyro 10 Jan, 2021 @ 1:19am
reloading is irrelevant when the guy you shot is dead
Pompadour Nautice  [author] 10 Jan, 2021 @ 1:03am
But! I do plan on remaking this... at some point - I don't know when! But at some point
Pompadour Nautice  [author] 10 Jan, 2021 @ 1:02am
I mean you have to reload for more than half a minute and get one shot
Doctor Pyro 10 Jan, 2021 @ 12:23am
this thing can one shot people at 300 hp
Pompadour Nautice  [author] 8 Jun, 2020 @ 6:49pm
Indeed I would, of course I have a lot of other projects to work on before that though.
ramius969 8 Jun, 2020 @ 6:38pm
Great Baker rifle ,thank you. Would you consider a Napoleonic era jaeger rifle to use with Prussian jaegar skirmish troops ?
Redm 7 Jun, 2020 @ 8:36pm
super cool keep at it. :steamhappy:
Pompadour Nautice  [author] 7 Jun, 2020 @ 8:10pm
You're in luck with what I just finished: Enfield Pattern 1853 [i.imgur.com] though it's just the model currently.
Redm 7 Jun, 2020 @ 7:58pm
hay you really nailed the reloading animation, one of the best i have seen. i dont have discord but i wanted to ask i you could make a muzzle reloader/percusion rifle, i have never seen it on the work shop and i thought it would be cool with new reloading items like the caps.
Pompadour Nautice  [author] 27 Mar, 2020 @ 12:49am
Once I figure out how, sure thing!
Freaking sword bayonet lmao, but yeah I will when I know how
sleeper 27 Mar, 2020 @ 12:44am
Add a bayonet firemode please.
NicoRaider 21 Mar, 2020 @ 4:33pm
btw is is google translate of what (KOR)zmfotutm said.

Finally, the wire-type musket! It's so good. It's fantastically cool. Except for beggar reload speed. To be honest, it would have been pretty good if the speed of reloading was reduced by 3 seconds. That's it, and I recommend it because I made it well anyway.
another degenerate 20 Mar, 2020 @ 8:08pm
Okay, thanks much
