Description
WHI - Wheeled Miner

This miner is the first rover-based miner released by the WHI. It carries 6 medium cargo containers carried by a six-wheel chassi. It uses pistons to extend its 4 drill heads and uses gyroscopes to stabilize the miner. A programmable block keeps track of cargo inventory but is not essential to operating the miner.

The drill head when clearing dirt makes a big enough tunnel to fairly easily navigate through, just be sure to keep it as steady as you can and not to go to fast forward or the ground will become uneven and make going back up harder.

(To connect the two pistons for manual construction you need to use a merge block between them while extended. However it is not a requirement to connect them. it just looks better imo.)

Hi,
I create New Game, Creative, Offline, Planet Earth.
In open land I build a projector, pick the blueprint and I receive the message "Incorect grid size. Blueprint size must match that of the projector."
Did I miss something?
I don't own DLC's.
Thanks

add hinges at the end of the pistons... then it can tunnel to a resource...

That is a good question, Pheonix. Short answer? SE physics probably.

Long answer... It can be any number of things, but pistons rubbing against something (even if doesn't look like it) and causing 'ghost' force seem the most likely answer. (see if removing the armor blocks around the Ore Detector helps)

My buddy and I tried to build this, it started flipping uncontrollably. I almost got it under control but couldn't keep it steady, it eventually flipped away and exploded. What did we do wrong?

This thing is pretty dang rad. It's my first ever miner made in SE and in survival mode. The video tutorial to add the drills was very helpful! The gyros can make it pretty spazzy if you aren't careful but they saved me from the first time I took it out and flipped it over.

Thanks FunkyBacon! Forgot to enable scripts on the server settings. It's working now :)

Hi Vlaidin
Make sure you have scripts enable in your world settings.
If scripts are already activated there may be some issues with the name of the cargo containers or how the cockpit is set up.

In the cockpit's "Custom Data" it should say something like:
@0 AutoLCD
Echo == Cargo ==
CargoP {cargo_containers_name/tag}
invListX {cargo_containers_name/tag}

Also make sure the cargo containers have the same name or tag as within the { }.
For example if they are named "medium Cargo Container 1 WM" you can just put {WM} in the Custom Data and it will search for every container with WM in the name and display their contents on the screen.

This is great! I build this in survival and followed your Video hooking up the pistons. This thing digs holes like nobodies business!
Everything is working except for the cargo capacity on the LCD Screen. How do i get that to show the capacity used? It stays at 0% for me.

Oh no me adding those pistons, oh boy lets see how many times it will explode. Im such a noob at this. But thanks for the vid

I simply posted another miner in creative mode to rebuild the drill, but if you wanna build it on an official one, it would be hard. Thx for the vid
