UK 3rd rail track speeds - Electrified - No Catenary - MPH

Description
This mod lets you place speed limited 3rd rail track

Note:
This mod works but is troublesome mainly because its fighting with how the game sees electrified tracks.
If you use this and have issues I don't have a fix for you.

the speeds line up with CW315's UK speed boards

It requires Agaohonoh's excellent third rail mod

However - This mod does place properly electrified track and does remove the catenary.

Note:
Everyone should be aware what is going on here. Because of how the game is designed. I think it sees catenary as a switch to say the line is electrified. To me that's an error because A does not = B. However that is how the game sees things. So this mod defines a new track type and gives it microscopic catenary.
This works 90% of the time.
It doesn't work when you place the 3rd rail track next to non 3rd rail track. The game ignores directions and draws normal size catenary back in.

(It doesn't work with some stations. )

This mod now also has 'old 3rd rail' as well as 'high-speed 3rd rail' (06/04/2021)

The only true solution is for Urban to define an electrified track type that doesn't have catenary and then we can move forward. Until then this is probably the best you are going to get ;)

@Pizzaguy, You can create your own by subscribing to Agaohonoh's US Third Rail tracks instead.

Afterwards, you want to go into the configuration files for this mod and change one for every track file.

At the bottom of the text file, update the following information:

t.sleeperModel = "railroad/agohonoh/single_sleeper_3rdRail_hs.mdl"
t.trackStraightModel = {
"railroad/agohonoh/2m_3rdRail_hs.mdl",
"railroad/agohonoh/4m_3rdRail_hs.mdl",
"railroad/agohonoh/8m_3rdRail_hs.mdl",
"railroad/agohonoh/16m_3rdRail_hs.mdl",
}

This will substitute all of the UK Third Rail models to be the USA Versions. You're Welcome and Enjoy.

So while I absolutely love this mod, I have decided that I needed to find a better way to utilise the 3rd rail into the map, without the clipping at junctions and on level crossings. Can't believe I didn't think of it sooner. I have just changed the specs of the 3rd rail trains in the game files from Electric to Diesel trains. Now I can set up the line un-electrified and add in the wonderful 3rd rail model when suitable. This is so much cleaner and much easier when placing stations as you can use the pre-made ones from workshop :steamhappy:

Unless some of the trains that are made for 3rd rail power breaks it, I don't know what to tell you. Only tested with this mod and trains that need it, nothing else enabled. Will have to test again once I get around to doing UK stuff again. May just be some specific trains that break it

it does work in stations. Try it in a vanilla station for starters. If it was working and 'suddenly stopped' working then check which mods you recently added.
There was a point when vanilla stations would not accept custom tracks but urban fixed that. There are some mods that predate that fix that effectively 'undo the fix'.

these don't work through stations anymore. The game flat out refuses to accept the station modules as electrified
